  • I love all Turkish dises.

    Baklava çok seviyorum !!

  • baklava" may come from the Mongolian root baγla- 'to tie, wrap up, pile up' composed with the Turkic verbal ending -v; baγla- itself in Mongolian is a Turkic loanword

  • mmmmm the best GREEK dish... mmm...

  • @8DLULWUT Write BAKLAVA to wikipedia ,its ottoman dish Turkish, we are exporting tons of baklava each year .

  • @8DLULWUT Its a ancient turkish dish. I wouldn't say that the greeks stole the idea, but yeah they got inspired and now their making their own aswell.

  • @BSChargeX ok , but i still believe we have the right to call it ours, because greek baklava is different from turkish baklava. (and more famouse)

  • @8DLULWUT Sure, i don't really care who makes the baklava, as long it tastes good, i would like to taste greek baklava sometime :D

  • I usually fill my Baklava with shrimb , chicken, lamb and beef. Makes a good dinner and desset. I also sometimes fill them up with chocolate.

  • I ve been working as a waiter in a top london hotel, and seen a lot of desserts but I do say baklava and kunefe are the best ones... the westerns usually eats chocolate stuff, when you ask them how our desserts are they say they are so sweet cant eat!!! It is maybe a difference of taste...

  • can someone please help? on the videos the baklava is green but when i look at sites for how to make it, its brown. what is the difference, how do u make it green? thank you

  • It´s green, because we use the world´s best Gaziantep pistachios instead of hazel nuts. It makes our baklava the best and most delicious of the world. Of course made in Gaziantep!

  • lol?

  • green color is a pistachio....in it...and some have walnuts in it...and some green baklava has a very thin layer of fillo.thats why.

  • @samanthafuge1986 The green stuff is blended/crushed pistachio, while the brown stuff you are refferring to is blended/crushed walnuts. I hope i answered your question :) Bon appetit!

  • For those of us with celiac disease (cannot eat wheat, rye or barley), it is possible to roll filo using gluten free flours. If you would like to see how it is done check video from dnworks (that's me)

    Dimitrios

  • Greek is thief country.

    REAL BAKLAVA = TÜRKİYE

    BEST CİTY = ANTEP

    İS THE BEST BAKLAVA=GAZİANTEP BAKLAVA

  • You introduced it to Greece, so it's not as if they stole it. I can tell you something else which was stolen, however, Syrmna, Constantinopolis, Cyprus, you alphabet...list goes on! ;)

  • I agree my friend we introduced it...but lets not get into politics..greek nation is a wonderful nation. i love greeks soo very much...I have greek friends which I would not change for anyone...baklava is own by both country turkey and greece...you have also every right to say it is ours because we lived together for hundreds of years. I honestly think its not turku=ish or greek i think it is arabic. peace.

  • @bornova73

    I am agree with you

  • @bornova73 The big difference between Greek & Turkish Baklava is that the Greeks add Honey in addition to the sugar syrup which makes it extremely sweet and a bit heavy. The Turkish approach, uses only sugar syrup and depending on the amount of syrup, it can be what they call "dry" or "wet" Baklava. Due to the high content of sugar Baklava keeps for a very long time, and does not have to be refrigerated. Hence, in hot arid areas this keeps and travels well.

  • @bornova73 olm ne yalaka adamsin sen ya nerden ikimizinde tatlısı oluyormuş milletin kıçını opmek için boyle konuşmayın artık . yunanlılara bakarsan döner bile (gyro) diye yunan mutfağının urunu dıye satılıyo riskenderde oyle. green delight yunna lokumu diye satılıyor yoğurt yunan yoğurdu diye. yalakalıkla bir yere varılmaz hakkımız olan kulturumuze ait olanı savunmazsan yarın turkler dunya kulturune ne verdı dıye cıkarlar karsına. hıc kımseye saygın yoksa anteplilere saygın olsun.

  • @bornova73 siktir lan izmirli pezevenk ! a.q. bide atatürkçü diye geçinirsiniz ama hepiniz yunan köpeğisiniz !!! greeks :D you can try the steal name of baklava from our culture ! but you cant steal the taste of baklava from türks :D

  • it must be have much sugar

    then it isn't good :))

  • i tried it..taste good ..but most oil & sugar..peoples with high colostrol, must think twice before try it;-))
