  • You seem to ride on the wrong side of the road quite a lot. Is that wise? Forgive my ignorance, but is Advanced Motorcycling about riding so fast? I realise that the police need to practise at very high speeds, but do people who aren't on emergency calls or chasing villains?

  • @freedeanna On relection perhaps not a very good example. I will post a better one, same route we did in May 2010. Spedd not that high, but DVD does seem to suggest high speed.

  • @advancedbiker You're right, vids always look scarier and usually seem faster than riding. I'm more interested in the general subject of biker training, and don't mean any particular crit of your ride except just as an example. I think the link between police training and general advanced driving is potentially dangerous, or maybe the threat here is from lining up corners as a particular exercise, losing IMHO a lot of other vital obs. Need better forum for this discussion. Take care.

  • Yer a little devil now n then..Bikes bloody great eh

  • Excellent video and some great riding. What camera were you using for this?

  • I use a bullet camera mounted on the mirror fairing. The Bullet cmaera is then connected to a normal camcorder with AV in - Yellow connection

  • what lets you responsible guys down is the tossers that thrash through the bridleways on crossers.they are a menace and its getting worse.something will come to a crunch and you will be blanket involved. make a statement and clear your good selves.

  • Where is this filmed, you were close to that police car at the end..... excellent ride, lokked like you were havin fun

  • It was in the Peak District around Edale. The final run was towards Chaphel en le Frith

  • I can't rememeber it was in 2005. I ound the footage the other day. Will you let me off if I said it was progressive.....

  • Yes it was 'spirited', I can only say it was legal....... I was enjoying myself.

  • Super video, I enjoyed that!. Very good observation links in the commentary from the pupil 'climbing a hill-could be a switchback' etc. Lovely positioning for view, good pace- well controlled. Superb potential hazard prediction brings its own reward at the end! Adds new meaning to 'circumstances which may reasonably be expected to develop'!! Also recommend people to view your video 'R90s with helmet camera' -another cracker!

  • I am glad it worked. I am starting to encourage clients - pupils to try commentary, if they have Autocom fitted. It helps to develop observation skills and hazard management.
