That woman, deserves her revenge and... we deserve to die. But then again, so does she.
the path of a warrior ? a warrior who killed many on the battlefields and is known as a hero of the nation. but those who he killed, had familys - he may killed guys like himself for just standing on the wrong side at the wrong time. now he deserves to die and with the one, killing the hero in a fair fight .. he'd seal his own fate, and the circle continues.

100% agree!!! I have always loved this scene. This scene made me realise that Michael Madsen is my ultimate favorite actor! This scene makes me tingle!!! xx
@anton823 i almost agree. It's my favorite scene, but he should have done a longer clip to include my favorite line. Hint: It involves Bill's opinion on the Crazy 88.
This was one of the most memorable scenes out of the movie and I've always wondered why. I think it was something about how well Michael Madsen did this.
I love Bud, he is a great assassin, the only one to capture the bride, but I don't know how he goes down to work in the place where he is, is a sad history. I don't like the way he dies, he didn't deserve that death, he deserves a better end in my opinion.
@Psycho79100 You aren't supposed to know her name until the second movie, I don't really know why. I only know that throughout the films they refer to her as "Kido" then you kind out its her last name. Maybe its just to be ironic?
Michael Madsen's 2nd finest moment as an actor. The only other one was in Thelma and Louise. It's as if he suddenly remembers, for a few seconds at a time, that he actually has talent.
@RIXLAZZZ Dude! your so full of shit! David Carradine is dead for two years now! do you think i'm stupid or something?! and he can't play in Vol. 3, dumbi! The Bride already killed him in Vol. 2
@the2009guy I love how after you inform the guy that Carradine is dead, but you emphasize that the reason he can't be in Kill Bill 3 is because he was killed in Vol. 2...and not because he is fucking dead in real life.
@aixelsyd82 You don't get it, I gave the fucker two reasons why he can't play Bill in Vol. 3, first becasue he's dead. and second, becasue the Bride already killed him in Vol. 2 and he was done with his role
@kirklandfoodwrap. The AA is a watershed, and all films which were classified by them were really good. It´s not the opinion of one person, the system was, as I just said, depurated along the years. @rept1llian. Shawshank Redemtion is really a good film, much, much better than Tarantino´s films. But in the whole aception, Forrest Gump is better.
I don't want to change you mind. You've your meaning and I've mine. Fortunately my meaning match the Academy Award meaning. You opinion doens't means nothing, so do mine, but AA has something to say, doesn' matter if you like it.
@kyxyzy The Academy failed to honor Citizen Kane, now regarded by Sight and Sound and the AFI (and virtually all film critics) as the best film of all time. It also failed to reward Raging Bull, Taxi Driver, 2001, etc. I'm not saying this invalidates the Academy, but you're wrong when you say they make no mistakes.
In fact this is all subjective, citing authority is irrelevant. A lot of people thought this was a good film, there's no need to be pretentious and bring up the AA.
@JesterHopperpot1. Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction memorable films of the last 20 yerars, c'mon! Who said that? You? The Academy Award have other meaning.
It´s violent stuff. Its very easy to make so a kind o film. I`m sure that You like films like Saw. Its the same shit.
@kyxyzy Did you seriously just say that Saw is the sthing as Resevoir Dogs or Pulp Fiction? That comment shows that you don't know what you're talking about.
"The Academy Award have other meaning". You know that Pulp Fiction was nominated for Best Picture, right? And won Best Original Screenplay and Best Supporting Actor (and was in totaly nominated for 8 Academy Awards)? And won the Palme D'Or? Not to mention that Resevoir Dogs has been called "the greatest indie movie of all time".
@JesterHopperpot1. I agree with you but in a different meaning. Tarantino will never be in the same league as Allen. It means, Allen make films, Tarantino is trying do make it. Maybe one day he will reach the right point. I'm not sure. Until he is stuck on the violent issues, he will never.
@kyxyzy Allen has made a a few good films, some decent films, and a lot of forgettable ones. The problem with him is that he has never truly evolved as a director. Tarantino, on the other hand, has not only never made a bad or forgettable movie (when your worst movie is Death Proof, you're doing something right), but has made some of the most memorable and important movies of the past 20 years (Resevoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, etc). In addition, his skills as a writer are vastly superior
This scene is good but the scene with his asshole boss tops it... JMO. "It's calender time,... calender time for buddy."... "There used to be your name there." I love that.
@mandaloolu not as far as i can remember, tarantino often puts in fleeting mentions of secondary story lines only to never discuss them to emphasize the importance of what is actually going on... but on the bright side, we know that budd has forgiven bill, when the budds hanzo sword is found... might be wrong though
@jk94111 . You've got it!!! All my comments goes directly in the way you write.
Tarantino is a talent. But he never will win an Oscar, untill he make movies like he is doing today. Maybe in the future he'll find out what it really means.
It´s like Jackie Chan movies, only that Tarantino there is more blood. That's all.
@FrederikundWilma . That´s my opinion, regarding that the Academy Award exist since 1927. Maybe You've other meaning. Please go ahead. Tell when they make mistake. The chosing is not done only by one person. It´s related with lot of people which vote independend. The system was cleaned over the years to reach the today stand point. Retards like You maybe have other meaning. Thanks God that your opinion and shit is the same thing.
@the2009guy. I never said that Tarantino hasn't talent. I only said that to a movie win an Oscar, it must have punch, passion, life, and other adjetives.. Let this issue with the Academy Award. It's to much for your understanding,.They never make a mistake. If you analize it without mustiness You'll find out what I'm talking about. In time don´t be so rude.Arguments are necessary not only bad words.
@kyxyzy and ur a fucking idiot if u think that the academy awards always make the right choice. for example, forrest gump won the year of pulp fiction (tarantino, btw, got nominated for best picture that year) and same year as the most critically acclaimed movie in history, the shawshank redemtion. yah i don't see mistakes there. or what about Scorsese, he did win for any of his best movies, so the AA is like fuck it guys give him the departed. ur an idiot, with no grammar. and he did win one.
I love Budd, i won't be one of those people who think they know everything about actors\ actresses in every goddamn film they played in, i won't say ''I love Madsen in that one'' i don't know about Madsen but I love Budd, when he talks with such wisdom it makes me completly forget that he used to be a murdering bastard in the DV's, especially when he gave Bill that little smile at the end of the scene, he seemed like a very wise, and good person.
Absolutely love Madsen's performance here, just the way he adds the "won't we" as an afterthought, continuing that stupid rhyme scheme but not over-doing it is brilliant.
Quite a few interesting things in this one scene. We don't know why Budd is so mad at Bill, but it seems as though Budd gave up his work as an assassin after El Paso. Whatever it was, he's happier taking abuse from his ass of a boss rather than go back to work with Bill. He shows genuine remorse over what happened to the Bride at El Paso. I often wonder what Tarantino was saying when Budd didn't kill the Bride when he had the chance, and why the Bride didn't get him either.
@Azlak0507: (Truly one of Madsen's most memorable performances!) Interesting thought. Budd is the only snake the Bride doesn't kill or harm in any way. Btw, I've always hated the way Budd meets his fate. We never really got to see his swordskills...
@Craftfilms Me too. I like the irony of Elle though. She says to Budd that the Bride deserved better than to meet her end by the likes of him, whereas Elle is the one who will happily try and kill the bride in her sleep, or to kill Budd through trickery. She won't take people on face to face unless she has to so in a way, she's the lowest of the bunch and Budd deserved better than to die by her actions. Budd had a strange dignity about him,and I think that Elle would have struggled to beat him.
@paxaslis28, why Costner is on the list. Due to the epic "Dances wiht Wolves" you know, Oscars are for the best. Academy never make mistakes. Scorcese won for 'Departed". Take a long time to win due the is stuck on the mafia thing, and even in Departed he is.It means you can have your opinion about films, but when you reach the point to analize it withou passion, only looking the art, you will find out what Im talking about.
@punishalltrolls Because the character uttered the Bride's real name. This happens twice in volume 1 as well. The audience is not supposed to know the Bride's real name until later in volume 2, and so for a cute dramatic effect Tarantino has her real name bleep'd out whenever the characters speak about her.
@punishalltrolls ..Bill said The Brides name, Beatrix. For some reason Tarantino only reveals her name part the way through the 2nd movie (Beatrix Kiddo).
awesome that you put this on here. But you truncated the scene and missed my favorite parts. Like when Budd asked Bill about Bea cutting her way thru 88 bodyguards and Bill replying, "Nah, there wasn't really 88 of them..." Great stuff. What was the liquor Budd was drinking, by the way?
For what are oscars for? It´s statistic. Maybe there are some films that are really good and dont won an oscar.
An example: Impire of the Sun. That's a really good movie which doesn't win. The oscar goes to: The Last Imperor. to win an oscar, the film must be entirely good. Look that ones which have won an oscar, you'll find out what I'm talking about.
Films from Tarantino as this one are not so bad. But to win an oscar... well it's far away.
Shellmanu@ We are on the same way regarding directors, boy. Even Chaplin, Kubrick, Kurosawa and Hitchkock haven't won an Oscar , everyone (who understand a litle bit about movies) knows what I'm talking about.
I really like Tarantino, but he doens't make movies in the whole aception of the word "movie". That's what I'm talking about. It's like Bruce Lee or Jackie Chan movies, noone will give a Oscar to them. But it works.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Oscars are for the best. Copolla, Allen, Eastwood, Ford, Spielberg,Pekinpah, Wels,Costner,Mankiewicz ,Kubrick, Scott, Bertolucci, Zefirelli, Kurusawa, Herzog Mann, Formann, etc. Maybe some time Tarantino, will lost this fucking japonese anima and make a film. But I dont' beleive it. He never will win a Oscar with this shit.
It is quiet different to make some shit and made a film.
@kyxyzy i disagree. Tarantino is one of the best contemporanean directors right now. Actually he got an oscar (best script). But if we r talking bout directors, let me tell you some names (although maybe you won't recognize them, because they didn't win any oscars neither): Haneke, Von Trier, Godard, Kurosawa, Hitchcock, fellini, Welles, Chaplin... By the way, Kubrick didn't win any oscar for 'best director'
in agree with your list (specialy Kubrick, ((enjoyed barry lyndon the most) and Lars von trier, and hitchcock,) and i agree with your opinion about Tarantino... he fit in the row greatest director's of all time :) (specialy the script)
@kyxyzy I disagree entirely. I think you were dropped one too many times as a child who prevents you from seeing that this movie completely FUCKING brilliant.
You seem to think that whatever films are awarded Oscars are necessarily the best films. I can agree that films that have won Oscars are often good, but not necessarily the films I'd rather see. There are more good movies than those who get Oscars, and the best movies I've seen did not receive Oscars.
Films don't need to be "the best" in order to be interesting, or cool.
@kyxyzy so you want him to make a film that we have all come to know and love? tarantino isnt a conservative like you my friend, he does it his own way and this very own way he does it entertains million of people across the world. maybe not you, but i dont think he made it for you
I happen to agree with you on that, but strictly because they're not in the same league to begin with, as they make different kinds of movies. It would be like comparing Bach to Elvis.
@kyxyzy Normally I would argue with you but theirs no point. Everything you said means nothing because of the fact that you cannot spell or use grammar properly. It's like picking on a mentally challenged kid.
first time i watched kill bill, i thought it was a piece of crap and the director was insane...but i was wrong this director is insanely genius and those long dialogues are totally brilliant!!!

In time don´t be so rude.Arguments are necessary not only bad words.
kyxyzy 8 months ago
@kyxyzy "They never make a mistake" Now, that's a pretty stupid thing to say.
FrederikundWilma 8 months ago

Great character, great films.

@thomaskantor the rhyme scheme isnt stupid!! theyre the foundation of tarantino style!! lol

Azlak0507 10 months ago
@Azlak0507: (Truly one of Madsen's most memorable performances!) Interesting thought. Budd is the only snake the Bride doesn't kill or harm in any way. Btw, I've always hated the way Budd meets his fate. We never really got to see his swordskills...
Craftfilms 10 months ago

Take a long time to win due the is stuck on the mafia thing, and even in Departed he is.It means you can have your opinion about films, but when you reach the point to analize it withou passion, only looking the art, you will find out what Im talking about.

why is there a beep @ 0:16?
punishalltrolls 1 year ago
@punishalltrolls Because the character uttered the Bride's real name. This happens twice in volume 1 as well. The audience is not supposed to know the Bride's real name until later in volume 2, and so for a cute dramatic effect Tarantino has her real name bleep'd out whenever the characters speak about her.
nourali2 1 year ago
@punishalltrolls ..Bill said The Brides name, Beatrix. For some reason Tarantino only reveals her name part the way through the 2nd movie (Beatrix Kiddo).
mollydogg1 11 months ago
awesome that you put this on here.

Cinema is art. An as any art there are rules.

@kyxyzy Hitchcock won a Best Picture for "Rebecca."

This comment has received too many negative votes show
Oscars are for the best.
It is quiet different to make some shit and made a film.
kyxyzy 1 year ago
@kyxyzy i disagree. Tarantino is one of the best contemporanean directors right now. Actually he got an oscar (best script). But if we r talking bout directors, let me tell you some names (although maybe you won't recognize them, because they didn't win any oscars neither): Haneke, Von Trier, Godard, Kurosawa, Hitchcock, fellini, Welles, Chaplin... By the way, Kubrick didn't win any oscar for 'best director'
shellmanu 1 year ago 54
@shellmanu
in agree with your list (specialy Kubrick, ((enjoyed barry lyndon the most) and Lars von trier, and hitchcock,) and i agree with your opinion about Tarantino... he fit in the row greatest director's of all time :) (specialy the script)

@shellmanu Actually, Fellini's movies won 4 Oscars as best foreign language film (La Strada, Le Notti di Cabiria, 8 e 1/2, Amarcord).

@kyxyzy I disagree entirely. I think you were dropped one too many times as a child who prevents you from seeing that this movie completely FUCKING brilliant.

@kyxyzy

I happen to agree with you on that, but strictly because they're not in the same league to begin with, as they make different kinds of movies. It would be like comparing Bach to Elvis.
