O Tannenbaum, o Tannenbaum, Du kannst mir sehr gefallen!
Thank you for posting this - is has helped to make my Christmas season - and I'm a South Carolina Boy. What a voice, what a song, I am almost speechless.
Because he is one of the great geniuses of all time. When I first heard this one I did not know he spoke German. I was a limo driver for a time and I got to drive his daughter once, She asked me what kind of music I liked and I opened my case of cd's. it was a very pleasant trip.
Hay there THC I have never heard this song and it not sung this way. Hay some people in America like tradition!! I love this song also. Whatever the singer is singing. Bings is good also. I loke the older singers. They but feeling into the songs. Not just another track on their record.
haha...i love this song but it sounds soooo funny when he sings it with his english-german...see i speak german and its just so funny....in the beginning i didnt realize that he actually doesnt speka german usually...but the by 0:40 haha...ist just hilarious...does he actually know what he sings...?? haha...but no offense...his voice is really nice...
i can/'t believe that people in america actually singg the german version on christmas...
This song always reminds me of the third grade Christmas play. We had a student who had lived in Germany while his dad was in the service. He knew enough of the language to perform the song for the play.

Only Nat King Cole could make a fucked up language like German sound good.. lol

@damiansix, that wasn't very nice. Very often harsh sounding languages make the best singing languages. This is true with Russian and Chinese.

that text message for santa is most successful way for child molestors posed as santa to get ahold of your children. America WOULD advertise that.
