i do things kinda backwards and want to start out normal xD so when i color do i set the layer to multiply or normal because i dont want it to interfere with the strokings or do i just have to be exact

If the lineart isn't ON a white background, you can put the layer under it, which I did, set to "normal". That way you can add in a background without the color messing up.

You click on it, click where you want it to go, then click on the ending point. Hold down ctrl and click in the middle of the line formed, and hold it down to drag it where you want to go.
