  • OMG thank you i am sovle my cube that i have had for 5 years and not sovled it

    !!!

  • dan brown is slow.watch my video.

  • what if you have the correct piece but the sides are opposite? Like the piece is orange and yellow and the orange is on the yellow side and the yellow on the orange side, what do you do then?

  • hey i have done the algorithm like 100 times to get the blue cross

    plz help

  • @sabz966 F R U Ri Fi

  • @sabz966 The Algorithm is F R U Ri Ui Fi

  • you said corners you meant edges

  • veshtukenvafel

It may be because your cube is assembled the wrong way try disassembling it and put it back together. That should fix it.

  • I have a question, when i solve for the edges of the second half, sometimes its flipped the wrong way, i tried using Fi U Li Ui to switch it, but then it messes up the green side, what do i do?

  • @veshtukenvafel you have to make sure that you have matched up the centre colour with the blue edged peice before performing the left/right version of the algorithm

  • @veshtukenvafel :use the algo thats in this video...that wrongly flipped edge will go in the top layer and then solve it like normal

  • @veshtukenvafel The Algorithm

To Move Right U R Ui Ri Ui Fi U F

To move Left Ui Li U L U F Ui Fi

    Doesnt Matter which one

  • put a rubiks cube lock on a chisity belt it will work

  • i have a much easy way to solve that

  • @Streets195 whats that?please i need to know...

  • I've been solving rubik for years and I have to say that this is stupid

Ok, it works, but why walk when we can drive? Anyone who might watch this vid should know there is something called F2L (First 2 Layers) and that's the way for a real solver

  • @NghiaJBWKZ Well people often go for the simplest thing, while F2L is hard to understand at first it is the most efficient way, I use nearly full Fridrich and I average 17-21secs, its all down to how determined you are, then again I never watched Dan Brown's tutorial, I saw RobHT23 or whatever his name is then movbed on to badmephisto's tutorials because I realised there were advanced methods. (BTW I avg around 35-40 secs with the beginner method, its all down to speed and practice)

  • @NghiaJBWKZ hes making it for beginners. I know theres a quicker way but this is easy

  • what the ?!?! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • hey dan u really didnt need to waste time on dis vid...........its pretty cool.........but sum1 who cant figure out such an easy thing himself must be 1 hell of a novice n doesnt deserve to solve d rubik's cube.........

  • @loge18 the best lubricant is silicon oil, but you can use and silicon spray, but they must be 100% silicon.

  • I can not get my very bottom corners to match the colors. It's either one or both corners

  • is that a special cube or is there something I can do to mine to make it that smooth? I'm guessing this is what I get for the basic Target version, but I'd be interested in having a silky smooth one like the video shows! Thanks for the videos by the way, the instructions that came with the cube were lacking!

  • @loge18 Lol silky smooth??? You haven't seen anything till you buy a speedcube online, but if thats too much for you just use vaseline, in the long run its kind of bad for your cube but everyone has some at their house

  • @StartledDonkey What happens to it in the long run? D=

  • @MiMa4x01 it disintegrates the plastic

  • thats hard man :/

  • on the last step i got all the corners in the right spot but 2 of them we in the right orientation and they were diagonal from each other??? what do i do

  • @almightyaalberg Just skip 1 of them.

  • @HeavyFreakingWorship

    You fail.

What you did was scramble it a certain way from when it was solved, but you said "If you don't know how to solve...'

how can people sctamble it a certain way unless they solve it first?

  • i still have a prob...........its in the first step......wen we make the first layer with the top green side the first layer does not hapen ...........help!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @aliceinwonderland193 srsly? just do what he tells you in the two original how to videos? :P

  • @aliceinwonderland193 Do you still have this problem? Here's how to figure it out: When you line up the green side, make sure that the other sides on the green piece lines up with the other colors. For example: If a green corner piece has yellow and orange on its other sides, make sure that piece lines up with the yellow and orange side. I hope that helped. If you still have a question, message me or comment =)

  • nice man . . nice video 2 . . i wish i can do that Xd

  • Can you tell me how to do the inverse?(algorythm or even the explication), I mean, when you're in the yellow face, despite the square you want to switch is the one in the right corner, if it would be the on in the left corner.

  • what's the last algorythm?

  • i can solve after 1 day of his vids

  • pause the stupt vid look at algorithim ....play!!!!!!!!

  • If you don't know how to solve a rubik's cube, try this to make people think you can do it. The scramble is: D, L2, B2, L2, R2, F2, R2, U2, R2, Ui, Di, Ri, B, F, Li, D, R2. And the solve is: R2, Di, Li, Bi, Fi, Ri, Ui. But when you're scrambling, make sure you do it fast so nobody knows your scrambling it a certain way. I used to solve a cube in like 1:30 seconds, but thanks to this, i can do it in 5 or less.

  • what does solve this like "normal" mean.. slow down for christs sake!!!

  • is it wierd that I jumped outa my seat and cheered at the fact that i solved my cube for the first time?

  • LOLLLL WEN I DO THIS MOVES I COMPLETE THE BLUE AND THE GRENN LOLLLLL..

  • pogobat i have the bottom layer and middle layer solves and the top layer is oriented but when i got to the part about the top but once i got the cross my whole top layer was solved (aka my bottom flipped over) i looked for matching corners but none matched so i was doing ri di r d over and over and got no where. im on the last step with 3 corners out of place.

  • @zarnisthedefiler nvm sorry lol i figured it out by doing ri di r d i took out all the other corners and rotated them to a place where they belong and solved from there it was a bit confusing but i figured it out.

  • I get the first two layers done and then when I start doing the top, it seems to get messed up. Like last night the U R Ri Li U Ri Ui L ( which you are only spose to have to do twice) didn't work, even though the piece was exactly where you said it needed to be. Maybe I just need more work...

  • I have a rubix penis

  • i still have one question

when i have my second layer done and i am doing the top cross i get half a cross

i will get the line in the middle and one dot at the top. Can you please help me?

  • can you make a video like slow and understandable?

  • can you make a video.,

    like slow and understandable?

  • Thank you for this one! It is a simple solution, but I didn't get it..

  • i was thinking of that maybe i should try doing that algirthm again :)

  • i must be pretty stupid then... i fail at Rubik's Cube xP

  • ppl stop being idiots use some common sense its not that difficult.

  • cheater. that aint hard. you think you're so smart. LOL

  • To all the geniuses who worked this out by themselves- how? I wouldn't have known how you would do that otherwise.

  • Hi can u plz add me on saudaldakheel@live.com I really need something plz thnx

  • well, thanks for helping us solving the cube..

well, when I solve it. I do the first step that is to solve the green side, then I solve the middle layer, once I have do it, the upper part Sometimes is an L, sometimes is a line, and sometimes a cross.. but sometimes I get a a line with one side of the cross, the other one is not in place. I do the algorism F R U Ri Ui Fi, but it becomes to the center blue in it but with an extra pice at the left.. help to solve it plss!!!

  • rockyrocketog is hosting a Rubik's Cube Competition! Just go to rockyrocketdog's channel and search for "Rubik's Challenge Round 1!" and post a video response of you solving the cube in under two minutes to proceed to round 2. If you don't, I will emerge victorious. AHAHAHAHAHA.

  • Hey Dan Brown.

Hope everything is going well. I made a video to show you about the rubik's solve, which I'm sure you already know, but mostly for you to make an advanced solve video. I can't post the video though. If you could send me a message, I'll give you my e-mail, then you send me an e-mail, and I'll tell you whats up.

I just happened to stumble upon this video though, I'm not stupid :-P

  • @blindsk8r490 Nice way of calling all the people in the world who can't solve the cube stupid.

  • Hey, I actually managed to figure this out on my own when this happened. It took me a while though, I kept on messing something up and having to restart from green. Not fun.

  • u should do a fridrich tutorial

  • @SoNiC0000000000

    spammer

  • What?!

  • thaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaank you :D

  • guy that was pretty awsome but you must have said that in your original video!

    whatever you rock!

  • Can u please make a video about u solving the rubiks cube as fast as y can! Jut outta interest

  • all u need to do is LI U L U F UI FI no need to find a cube to replace it with i figured this out on my own :)

  • @magetrix yes dude your right i realize that to!!!! XD

  • LOL I use intuitive FLL

  • First Last Layer?

  • sry F2L, first 2 layers. switching to F2LL

  • how to solve the very last corner one?

my position now is all of the color's cube is completed?

    please respond to my comment...

need some help, or else i'll fucked up myself... lol

  • You made it impossible

    Reassemble the top layer

  • I figured out how to do that myself, it's really not that difficult....

  • @DennisBayazitov same, who couldn't??

  • @DennisBayazitov how to do this?

  • Hi Dan, this is really helpful stuff, I just bought a rubik's cube yesterday. I was wondering if you could post a video where you explain each algorithm mathematically.. it would be nice to understand why we are doing what we are doing :) Cheers.

  • ok im glad he made this video. but now rubik's cubes come with a fricken handbook telling people how to solve it. suck it up and figure it out urself.

  • What method does he use?

    Fridrich?

  • he uses beginner method the slowest one but perfect for newbies :p

  • yea wow i agree, i figured that out myself so i dont undertsnad how someone else couldnt

  • wtf?

o damn my cube is fucked up

  • dude you dont no the easy steps your algorythms are like 12 movements mine are 5 and work just as well

  • make a vid then :/

  • u fucked up my cube

  • iloled

  • slow down.....you move 2 fast.. ican't catch it up...

  • @46ash just pause it and learn the move notation

  • @46ash thank

God for inventing the 'Pause" button..

  • @46ash

Well the fact is, its just the same technique.

Just hold a part that isn't solveable for you atm, to the left or to the right:

to the right ( hold the part you want to solve in the back) and do the algoritm: R U' R U' R U R' U R' U - ( R' U R' U R' U' R U' R and you remove the unsolveable piece to the top layer to be able to solve it again.

  • if youv'e seen the above and are still confused, go here:

    rubiksguide

  • I cant see why people aren't able to figure this out them selfs...

Although deeply respect for Dan that he actually has the patience to explain it!

  • dear dan fuck aahhhmyheadahh fucking enrd

anyways thanks i watched this like 1-2 months ago and now im pr0

  • damn i started again when that happend

  • what the..! if someone can't figure that out by logic, they shouldn't be able to solve a cube!!!

then again, this guy's videos are so amazing, even a tock would be able to solve a cube w/ them

    congratulations, really

  • thanks i was stuck on that

  • Mine is opposite than that how do i solve it

  • kick me361 it is the same algorithm as he used to switch them at the start of the video

  • come on people...this is intuitive!!!!!!

  • hahaha yeah! awesome!! so whats the "so you fix this as normal"??? at 1:12, which algorithm?

  • thanks, this was annoying :P

  • Nice, I was stuck on this last night but I figured it out on my own by just trying to swap the pieces around.

  • HEY thnx for tht every time tht happens witch it happens heaps and i can never get it i always think tht my borther had twisted 1 peice of corse if tht happens the cube is impossible!

  • this is the problem i had :P thanks its really great. i can actually solve a rubik's cube now!!!! :)

  • That helps alot! Been stuck on those alot :P I usually solves ut by this method by random, but now I know how to really work it out, thanks!! : )

  • thx for teaching, i finally master it

  • thank you soo much for this i had this exact problem and couldn't figure it out

  • im not sure if i have the same problem as this, this doesnt solve my problem but i may be doing it wrong. My problem is that all around the cube the middle colours of each side all have one side that is the same as the top (blue in the video) what do i do?

  • start again, listen very carfully make sure you are turning it the right way and start with green.

  • yeh ok, im probably getting ahead of myself, thanks :)

  • i have the same problem! but i dunno what to do either lol sorry

  • Haha.. that's my question too.. thx dan..

  • Thanks Dan. This is the problem I needed an answer to! Your the man!

  • omg that was my question, dan!

But i solved it before you released this video

  • i have a easer methed.if the spot you need to change is in the right area you do this"r u ri ui fi ui f" thats the way i do it.

  • thanks!!!!

  • THANKS! this was what was wrong with me too.

  • THANKS!!!! it was this part i had the promlems with!

  • i have a question, when u get the first side finished idk how the first row of every color lines up like that... i put the corner peices in correctly using the agorithiums... doesnt make sense to me

  • im going to commit suicide this shit is too hard to solve

  • thank you that answers the question i wrote on my other page. oops! i should have looked first :) thank you so much btw

  • its hard to memorize all the algorithms and i heard if you dont pracitce every few times a day or so you'll forget them

  • not that hard

  • dan brown kicks ass he helped me solve my first rubiks cube and it got me into cubing i can now solve the runiks cube in 28 seconds (pb) but my average is around 36.

  • lol lies

  • and dan brown, thx to your tutorials i managed to solve it,, serveral times HEHEHE :D

  • Im not bragging or anything

But seriously- I figured this thing out by myself

at first i started worrying but then started to look at my cube carefully

  • agree, it wasnt so hard to guess that out

  • cheers dude

  • this was an issue for me...thx for the tutorials dan

  • isnt this the same as algorithm as the one before?

  • WOW

  • thanks man you are the best. i was stock in this part........

  • i figured this out on my own

  • Thank u very very much, ur intelligent

  • thx guy

really helpful adn easy to understand

    you are the man

  • wew thats what i did and i didnt even watch this video

  • fantastic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • If there's people that weren't able to figure this out on their own they're just plain stupid.

  • you my sir are pro

  • wow rubiks cube newbs XD

  • omg! your my hero

  • nice you are my hero

  • i got the top part...

but the first layer aren't the same colour...

    pls help me...what do i do?pls3!

  • lol wow thats common sense

  • I'm confused what do you do if the last piece of the blue cross is in the right place but is facing the wrong way (like its at the side not the top)

    plz anyone!

  • Actually nevermind i fixed it

  • Just keep doing the top cross algorithm you eventually get it.

  • thanks! this makes it so much easier!

  • thanks!!!!!, i was like wtf i got everything but 1 3 time in a row

  • Thanx a lot

  • what i do is r,u,ri,ui/li,ui,l,u and then ri,di,r,d or l,d,li,di to get corner back. works pretty well.

  • this was great helped alot youve got this rubix tutoring to a T!!

  • weren't people able to figure this out by themselves? ... :S

  • i tried that but when i try to solve it from the top layer it does the exact same thing!!! :[ I'm so frustrated!!!

  • lol when it happened to me i thought for like 30 seconds to think like this xD

  • wow i found this video after i spent precious time trying to fix that problem

  • same here xD but it was pretty fun :D

  • lololololololol he is having u fix ur cube with an algorithm that he had shown you in the part two video

  • what is then difference between ui and u. i am also cunfused cuz you go wayyyy tto fast and i can hardly understand anyhing. please help me

  • u= turn the up face clockwise

ui= turn the up face counter clockwise

if he is going to fast, pause, rewind, repeat

  • (correctly written) U is a clockwise turn of the up face, Ui is a Counterclockwise turn of the up face

  • i cant get it

  • but dan what do u do if all the pieces has blue in it? what do u do then? plz respond

  • Just stick any of the ones with blue in it in the second layer, you will then have a piece without blue in it on the top layer

  • ok thanks

  • Australia doesn't have bears...

  • lolololololol

  • haha owned...

  • no, it has kangaroos :-)

  • btw, im still confused..ur doing it too fast, when u turn, just go slowly on us lol...
