The only thing I didn't like was the Cop being in on the rape. I thought it was almost like ripping off the Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake with a cop being the bad guy. Joey from Nightmare 3 and 4 making an appearance was cool. Yes, it's very true to the original and just as nasty especially the revenge sequences.

i got the dvd for $10 at walmarts. i prefer the ending to the original, although i liked the ending to the remake.

Fantastic review of the film. I love both the original and the remake. Both have great positives. A lot of us thought the remake was going to be water downed. Great video

I'm in agreeance with you, Ed. There were some positives in this film (if such a word can be used regarding such an ugly topic). I was afraid that they would do the shying away from the intensity of the original. Luckily that is not the case. There a little glimpses of humanity with a couple of the characters in the midst of such brutality that set this apart (in my opinion) from the usually splatter porn genre. It wasn't pretty, it wasn't sugar coated. I admire movies like that.

@DragonPhly2813 Great points all around. Personally like I said in the video I was expecting watered down garbage, but that wasn't the case at all. I was just thrilled that this didn't get into the "torture porn" (I REALLY HATE THAT TERM, but I felt it was appropriate so you know what I mean) and just tried to be basically mean spirited. I can certainly admire that.

@poptopia1 I do check out Best Buy from time to time for their $10 deals. Also, Wal-mart can be a gold mine for BD's at the right price. It just depends on when and where you are.
