I've always loved that model of Yamaha, are they good playing-wise? It looks like it would be and if so then I'm totally tracking one down. Also do you know if those are p-90 or soapbar pickups? I can't find 1 specific spec.s sheet that tells me >:(

My main guitar is my Stratocaster and I love the feel of this Yamaha infinitely better--if that tells you anything about playability. The pickups are indeed P-90/soapbar pickups in humbucking configuration so no worries about single-coil hum. The only problem for most people may be the pickup selector.

Cool! I've got to go and hunt one down now haha! The pickup selector will take a little getting used to but I'm certain I can manage, I know what you have to do in order to switch pickups, that cool glowy button switches between 3 settings. bridge,neck,both.
