Loud vocals not with standing. . . this music has a power of soul that is chilling to the bone. [perhaps even b/c of that triple forte stretch @ about 2:59 it drives deeper], it penetrates to the ache inside the one so lost, so left behind. For us who love your poet's minstrel soul I say "let the storm bring more!"

Great! I think the reason that the part from 3:00 onward sounds "jarring" to some people is that the sound is clipping and the vocals are overpowering the instruments a bit. I think that with some appropriate miking, the increased intensity of that section would sound excellent. Anyway, sounds amazing so far. Can't wait to hear the final version!

This is simply amazing. The words invoke such a mysterious feeling and the melody and chords reflect and amplify that feeling. And, as always, your voice is perfect.

But I agree with "keebearfull" that the louder bits can seem a little too powerful, especially when your voice is starting to get distorted through the speakers.
