I expressed my opinion about the quality of the music. I'm a trained musician myself. The music really is crap. God can use it & you can worship to it (if you have no taste), but it's still crap. Crowder can do better, and ought to.

They may disagree over certain things, but the majority of them still hold to the core Christian beliefs that still make them part of the universal body of Christ, so that they are still our brothers and sisters. All you would be doing is making yet ANOTHER denomination. And ones already exist as you describe them- full gospel, apostolic, i.e. Pentecostals.
@Meen1AiS I have been to a variety of churches in my travels and, even though they may be different, they all still love Jesus dearly. They are still my brothers and sisters. They are still part of the one body, just in different localizations. If you think there is one denomination that is true and all others are lies- then you have been sorely deceived. Humble yourself for thinking that. You are not above all your brothers and sisters. Catholic, Anglican, Protestant- his people are everywhere.
@Meen1AiS lastly: you don't want to restore the church to the time of acts. That was a baby church. Many of those churches were extremely messed up (the Corinthians, for example). Rather, we seek to restore apostolic teaching- all of the advice and correction and given by the apostles and (more importantly) Jesus. In doing so, we hope to become a MATURE bride of Christ- one without spot or wrinkle, that we may be presented gloriously to our Savior. But you could think of us as Acts chapter 29.
I would just add a few things. Firstly, the churches that exists today are the result of 2,000 years of building it, a new one wouldn't fix any problem. Sure, the churches that exists today doesn't do everything right, and they never will because it's filled with imperfect people, just like you and me. Go from your church is not the answer, serve in and build your local church first. Do you after this feel called to plant a church, sure go for it! But remember; it'll not be perfect :)
Get to know God and all his love, and you will see just how REAL he is. I've been lots of places in my life and the dark places have been without God. And once in his hands, its unbelievable how WONDERFUL my life became. I praise God for all his grace and love.

Lastly, you must repent and confess of your sins to be forgiven and have Jesus Christ as lord and saviour of your life, but merely being called a “Christian" doesn't really do anything.

Most historic scienctists are from the Church and used created theories (NOT FACTS). Scientists today are just too onesided and don't even consider the Bible (or any other religous source), and only base theorys on numbers.

I challenge all Christians to look at BOTH sides of the story and if you look objectively you will find the truth. But SO many scientists see only what they want to see. @john34841 I understand you argument. That's why it's called the "Theory of evolution", it has yet to proven or disproven. The same could be said about Christianity, one cannot physically prove God does or does not exist. One can reason that He does by the complexity of the universe and the way it functions but it can't be proven by the scientific method. If you would like I'd love to talk some more about it with you.
Well at the end of the day this all comes down to faith. We are not all one sided, neither are scientists, some Christians and be extremely one sided. But I've known of a few scientists who looked for answers in many different places and have found the Bible to be their source.
When it comes down to whether people are evil or not, basically we are all evil. The difference is, Christians have been forgiven and saved. We are far from perfect. Dont ever think that we have got it together. We dont have everything together but we have God to help us. Being a Christian doesn't make you perfect, trust me, but we are forgiven and we have a hope and you too can have that hope.

You must be careful. To assume people are basically evil infers that the bases of all intentions of people must be evil. Evil is defined as the intentional harm of others. Not only have you presumptuously inferred that people are basically evil, you have failed to consider the acts of selflessness that people commit every day. Jesus himself died at the cross for our sins, not because he believed people to be evil, rather the contrary actually.

As for us though, I think it's completely up to opinion on what Christian artists you want to listen to. I suspect that if you're honest and really do want to understand what the Lord's message is, you'll grasp that "Never dare to assess the quality of work" is not really part of the message.
You should try not to use words of scripture to say things they don't really mean.

The alarm of so many Christians at my solitary voice pointing out that just one instance of their beloved "worship" music is really not a very good song, speaks louder than anything I could say. Y'all have some weird, personal stake in pretending that mediocre music is sanctified, and that this somehow honors God. Weird. But certainly NOT godly.
Btw, do the economics of the music business have any impact on whether Crowder releases a song, even if it's not so great? Just asking...

You say that David Crowder should do better when it comes to writing his songs, but you, being a musician, fail to see that, to someone else, YOUR music is flawed. I think you have quite a bit to understand. AS LONG AS you give your heart to Him and WORSHIP Him honestly by giving your all, HE IS PLEASED, regardless of whether or not you sing in tune or if you play the wrong note. Meeting in homes, going from house to house, breaking bread, meeting needs instead of tithing to support a biulding budget! Might I suggest two books? Pagan Christianity and Organic Church. They may disagree over certain things, but the majority of them still hold to the core Christian beliefs that still make them part of the universal body of Christ, so that they are still our brothers and sisters. All you would be doing is making yet ANOTHER denomination. And ones already exist as you describe them- full gospel, apostolic, i.e. Pentecostals.

They are still part of the one body, just in different localizations. If you think there is one denomination that is true and all others are lies- then you have been sorely deceived. Humble yourself for thinking that. You are not above all your brothers and sisters. Catholic, Anglican, Protestant- his people are everywhere.

Rather, we seek to restore apostolic teaching- all of the advice and correction and given by the apostles and (more importantly) Jesus. In doing so, we hope to become a MATURE bride of Christ- one without spot or wrinkle, that we may be presented gloriously to our Savior. But you could think of us as Acts chapter 29.

I would just add a few things. Firstly, the churches that exists today are the result of 2,000 years of building it, a new one wouldn't fix any problem. Sure, the churches that exists today doesn't do everything right, and they never will because it's filled with imperfect people, just like you and me. Go from your church is not the answer, serve in and build your local church first. Do you after this feel called to plant a church, sure go for it! But remember; it'll not be perfect :)

Lastly, you must repent and confess of your sins to be forgiven and have Jesus Christ as lord and saviour of your life, but merely being called a “Christian" doesn't really do anything.

If people can't accept Christianity, well atleast get to know our Lord Savior Jesus Christ first. If you think no one can love you, well you're wrong because no matter how bad the things you've done are,, Jesus Christ will still love you.

This is my song! Wooooo! It just puts you in the place to worship the King of Kings and erases from your mind the junk of the world! I mean lately I have been worried or irritated by the whole gay agenda thing and how christians that are supposed to be out in the public eye are just caving and falling off and hearing this just puts me in a place to forget all them. Most historic scienctists are from the Church and used created theories (NOT FACTS). Scientists today are just too onesided and don't even consider the Bible (or any other religous source), and only base theorys on numbers.

@delaisla777 Perhaps sometimes some of us are. But MANY of us look at both sides of the story and objectively and come to the conclusion that the Bible is right. I challenge all Christians to look at BOTH sides of the story and if you look objectively you will find the truth. But SO many scientists see only what they want to see. Or people like you really don't research both sides of the story and only listen to one camp. (Don't mean it to sound like I'm hating on you)

@SpankyOleary Sorry friend, but I have objectively looked at both sides of the issue, and now I cant believe how liberating it is to have intellectual freedom. I used to be a Christian, went on missions trips overseas, filled with the holy spirit. then I studied evolution so i could be able to disprove it, and i learned that there is no way to do that.

@john34841 I understand you argument. That's why it's called the "Theory of evolution", it has yet to proven or disproven. The same could be said about Christianity, one cannot physically prove God does or does not exist. One can reason that He does by the complexity of the universe and the way it functions but it can't be proven by the scientific method. If you would like I'd love to talk some more about it with you.

Well at the end of the day this all comes down to faith. We are not all one sided, neither are scientists, some Christians and be extremely one sided. But I've known of a few scientists who looked for answers in many different places and have found the Bible to be their source.

When it comes down to whether people are evil or not, basically we are all evil. The difference is, Christians have been forgiven and saved. We are far from perfect. Dont ever think that we have got it together. We dont have everything together but we have God to help us. Being a Christian doesn't make you perfect, trust me, but we are forgiven and we have a hope and you too can have that hope.

@ohyeainyoface not to be picky for the sake of pickyness (if that's a word) but we were all created good =] but we both know there's a difference between good and holy (by definition holy just means "set apart")
As that's what He's calling us to =]. But you nailed it, we're not perfect, it's in our imperfections that we learn of the graces God gives.

Your statement lacks any kind of reasoning and is peppered with contradictions. I am not an atheist, but to assume that Christianity is the true religion necessitates accepting the bible's blanket statements as true fact. And it is very naive to believe that your sins are forgiven merely because you are "Christian." Christianity teaches one to be empathetic and forgiving, but by no means are you given a clean slate just because you worship the cross. this song is the shit nonetheless

You must be careful. To assume people are basically evil infers that the bases of all intentions of people must be evil. Evil is defined as the intentional harm of others. Not only have you presumptuously inferred that people are basically evil, you have failed to consider the acts of selflessness that people commit every day. Jesus himself died at the cross for our sins, not because he believed people to be evil, rather the contrary actually.
