  • 6:38 ur voice sounds creepy

  • 6:38 ur voice sounds creppy

  • that was a very beautiful scarf!!!

  • How do you make the scarf Corinne is wearing?

  • Very interesting. I wish I had that kind of talent and creativity.

  • How do you make the scarf you have on? And do you know how to make a round scarf? Would love it learn how to do these. Thanks

  • This is very pretty but I don't think it would work that well as a belt

  • I want to learn how to make the red and black scarf u have on

  • Ij like your idea, Im going to use yarn like the cambodian scarfs, and I just heard about a woman who made a triangle quite large and made a shawl. less trouble and less expensive to use your idea. thanks

  • Too cute! I've found my family christmas presents! :)

  • it looks like a fish's tail *-*

  • can i use very thick wool to make a scarf?

  • I wanted a tut on this! Thx!

  • I tried this. The process is long but well worth it.

  • cool but the clothing you make arent that pretty but some are awesome!!!!!!

  • Pretty cool. I would have never though picking up some scrap wood to create the loom.

  • OMG THEY ARE SERIOUSLY GROSS SCARFS

  • it's the same technique we use to make scrap rugs in Sweden. My gran makes them with her red cross group, some of them are quite beautiful. I use a small rug in a frame instead of a message board. :)

  • i like her shirt . . . .

  • I thought the scarf looked cool. I love those kind of hodgepodge kinda things. And she said she was going to dye it a differeny color. But I personally thought it was adorable, and it's something I think I would wear, when it got cold enough for scarves where I live, that is!

  • yeah... its ugly, we all read a million times in comments....

Perhaps, she wasnt worried about the appearance of the loom or scarf, but was just trying to help ppl understand the steps of weaving.

    so...

    thanks for the video!

  • yeah thats really ugly but a good tech it kinda reminds me of that stocking necklace only I can use this and not feel stupid.

  • Beautiful. I love the idea for the scarf and the loom!

  • ugly :(

  • @IshaBeauty11 same thought. definitely pretty ugly.

  • awesome :) im using this technique to make a strap for a bag im making!

  • I farted

  • I wanna know how to do that neck thinggy that first girl was wearing.

  • What the heck kind of scarf is that???? She could have found better scrap fabric than that to demonstrate the concept.

  • I like the colours of the scarf she showed as an example before she started teaching. :)

  • Horrible scarf.

  • lol, we did this in school too. I made a shawl for my grandma.

  • I made something like this at school,it's real fun.

  • @QytaMartenq Yeah me too... Our class made a rug

  • if you have a big piece of wood, like the one you have, couldn't there be rows of screws and/or holes for more screws and smaller lengths added rather than having dozens of lengths of boards for smaller things?

  • Comment removed

  • cool the things you find on the street

  • That... was... FANTASTIC! I am so doing this when I have time and supplies. I actually have more of the hardware than the "software", but I will keep my eyes peeled for pretty fabric scraps. Thank you Threadbanger! and Ms. Barbara!

  • Great video, thank you very much!

  • cool!

  • I just love scarves. Now I know how to make a loom scarf. Thank you very much!

  • you know instead of using other fabric as a buffer she could use card board and slip it in the weave

  • Barbara is awesome!! I love her style. And her voice! ^_^

  • EXCELLENT TUTORIAL. Regards

  • Is there any way you can post a how to video on the scarf the chick is wearing in the opening scene????it's super cool and i want to make one! that would be awesome =)

  • Cool !

  • Very cute show! I am about to be embroider the Virgin Mary onto a wedding veil that II will make...no pattern, just me and a coloring book page. Wish me luck.

  • creative :)

  • i love it!

  • I like the scarf or something you wore on your neck Corinne.

  • that's awesome !

  • So many haters, how sad.I admire and appreciate her creativity and her sense of freeform style. You go girl!

  • instead of using scrap fabric to create the header I think I would just weave a piece of scrap matte board or some other sturdy piece of cardboard into the warp, you could make it any width you want and then just slide it out and tie off the ends when you're done.

  • ugghhh. i'm not sure that i really dig this

  • i think the scarf she made was kinda ugly, but the technique is cool!

  • what dus DIY mean?

  • do it yourself

  • do it yourself

  • i give you a thumbs up 4 askin!

  • she so needs to learn how to knit!!! i mean the idea is great but the scarf looks like a homeless person's scarf

  • It would look better if the colors were more cohesive and there weren't the scrappy tassel hanging off. I made something similar and it looked really cool.

  • I use an old picture frame for the loom and tie the warp threads together at the end (tie every two together at the top and bottom) so I don't have to have a buffer.

  • Would you do the same thing with yarn? if you kno, please tell me! Thanks!

  • yes you would

  • I really like how you tie the pieces together, I usually tie them, but they come undone so easly that way T_T. very great video!

  • cool

  • wow not badyou gave me a great idea well not an idea but more like a use full thing iv been weaving these things made from this vine i found lasts forever made ropes and i can use this to maby weave them together thanks for the vid :D

  • i just use cardboard to weave. I remember my fifth grade art teacher teaching us how to make different stiches and how to make the loom.

  • awesome! I LOVE IT

  • lol, the theme song from "dead like me" is playing in the background

  • I'm always looking for new things to try. This looks fun and easy, will share it with my granddaughter. I have lots of scrap stuff including yarn. Now I know how to use it up without costing me more money!

    Thanks I love it.

  • love this!! i need patience!!

  • this is sooo awesome!

  • this is amazing! thanx so much! absolutely love the idea...best way to create cool, unique stuff! :)

  • I never realised the awesome possiblities of weaving!! Sweet, thanks guys!

  • how do you make/ where do get that red scarf like yours?

  • there's actually a video from threadbanger showing how to make it yourself, I don't know what it's named but it's pretty easy to find.

  • Woo hoo! I've been thinking of ways to use my old clothes and my idea for a loom is the same one she used! I can wait to get ripping and weaving!

  • I realized while watching that using fabric as a buffer would be harder than using something solid, like cardboard or a piece of plastic. And, either of those should be pretty simple to weave in. Hope this helps some fellow DIYers! <3

  • Im going to make one! :)

  • this is the most awesomest ever tutorial ever, thank you sooooo much, i'm about to die of awesome overload

  • sceary

  • This is a great tutorial. Weaving on a board isn't a technique I've seen before. I have noticed that working with a solid surface on hand-made looms you tend to bruise your knuckles up a bit, tho. You might try creating a frame that is open under your warp strings. I don't make long scarves, but when doing small tapestries I use old wooden picture frames with the screws in both ends. That open space helps a lot.

  • i know this is off subject, but

her hair is so nice looking

    i want to eat it

  • Well done YOU! This was special, very fun, enlightening too.

  • her voice is sooo soothing!

  • I know, I fell asleep watching this and woke up strangely refreshed haha!

  • I love this! I usually hate looming because it takes forever, but it goes so fast with fabric strips! Now my loom won't gather dust in the corner, and I can keep warm!

  • Wow, awesome!

  • That is freakin' awesome.

  • Can't wait to make one myself :)

  • I've been wanting/wondering about looming for the past few days. THANKS FOR THE VIDEO! Like really guys.

*goes to make stuff on his new loom*

    :D

  • great idea

  • Yesterday I got my board, a 2 x 6" six foot long. Today I figured out I could put 9 screws across each end 3/4" apart. Tomorrow I'll put primer on it, then a coat of gray paint. The neutral background comes in handy when choosing color schemes. I don't have any silk, I'll have to use other fabrics or yarn.

  • I love this idea so much!

  • This is a really sweet project!

  • the scarf is sweet! Messy...but easy. I am going to go find a piece of wood and nails!

    I ♥ Threadbanger

  • Great idea!!! Love the scarf, sorta grungy! Cool.

  • increible idea para cintos y bufandas gracias por compartir estas ideas

  • that Asian Lady RULES! i LOVE weaving! and i have a bunch of scraps. my fabric of choice is fleece. i was quite disappointed to learn that it is NOT made from the fur of baby sheep. what a rip-off. a warm, cuddly, rip-off.

  • that was really creative. i like it.

  • i love her coat

  • Corinne, i like ur coat, ive always wanted one, but they dont have my size because they dont have kids sizes and i wanted to know how to make one for myself so i dont have to hunt all weekend and just make one of my own

  • Holy that was so cool. I never knew it was so simple to loom, and the scarf/belt was pretty neat. =D I agree with everyone else, Corinne's scarf is purty.

    Great vid.

  • Oh, I forgot to ask- do you thin that I could make a cowl using this method, or would it be too heavy (using silk and/or cotton)? Thanks for your head. You guys rock.

  • That's awesome. Love this; your best episode in a while. Looms are so cool. Really easy tutorial, but produces a really cool effect. Thanks!

  • That scarf is rockin'!

  • oooo!!! cool!

i really like this tutorial :D

  • I really like this episode-- her voice was very calming (unlike some episodes where the person giving the tutorial, while helpful, was a little grating) and the idea was simple and really neat to see.

  • how do u make the scarf ur wearing? its really cool its like short and stylish. i like it :D

  • thats pretty clever

  • It looks okay, but kinda old and messy.

Interesting and easy to do it yourself, though.

  • i'm totally gonna do this one! thanks threadbanger!!! yay!

  • I really liked that loom. Nice and easy. :)

  • awesome
