I like your fish, looks like a combo of koi and comets. The pond in my video is built for customer of mine. I have not posted a video of my pond yet, but it is coming...
i am going to be getting a (really mini; i guess) preformed 50 gallon pond with 2 goldfish. the pond will be in a wooden container filled with mostly sand and some dirt at the top (to plant flowers). i am using a Fluval canister filter 305 for it, as well as a smaller filter. I was looking for some feedback on this setup and some problems that could occur and how to avoid them.... any comments welcome. you can even look at my videos for more info... thanks a lot. keep up the great work!
Hey Nemo, overall it is a very small pond and the smaller the body of water the more likely to run into problems, but keep the stock to a minimum and feed carefully, not too much sun or exposure to the elements and you should do allright. Some problems you may encounter would be chronic green water (UV light will fix that) and bad string algae growth (beneficial bacteria can help that), temperature fluctuations might occurr and the fluval will have to be cleaned much more than an aquarium.
I'll ONLY have 2 goldfish in the "pond" and i normally only feed them once a day, sometimes less if they are outside. They normally have enough plants and algae to eat... it will only have direct light for like 3 hours in the early evening, and i am letting the tank cycle for about 2 monthes with bacteria from my other tank... but i'll really look into the UV light. Thanks a lot. I love your videos. The ponds are sooo clear!
i want of those so bad for my mom becouse she got me a bunch of animals like 2 baskilis like three fish tanks some hermit crabs a bird a cat well the cat was for free so how much would it cost to get one

Love this Pond. It's about the same size as the pond I'm planning. What is the water flow and how many tons of rock?
DVRblur 2 years ago
I used a 2000 gph pond pump for this pond and about 3 tons of rockwork and gravel.
