  • Sex and the city :)

  • Cynthia Nixon!

  • "Piano Concerto No. 22 in E flat, Kv 482 , 3rd Mov " ? i know it as a harsichord concerto.

  • young Miranda Hobbs?

  • ah such a wonderful movie. Honestly I never liked Mozart's wife...all she REALLY cared about was money =/ and when Mozart wasn't making it, she left him =/ (not sure if that actually happened but its what happened in the movie) I mean think about it, all you ever hear her talk about is money >< while Mozart simply enjoyed writing music and living life.

  • I love this scene too. It's incredible.

  • I LOVE THAT DOOR!!!

  • good of you to put this video up, it is also one of my favourite scenes :) thanks also for the volume warning at the end.

  • its confusing… did he feed her (the spy) food or money?

  • @hipepleful Both - he gives her money for spying, but he gave her a treat too - Salieri was always eating and lusting after sweets.

  • Zo klinkt dat heel niet buiten... dat geluid waait weg en die lullige piano hoor je dan waarschijnlijk helemaal niet!

  • Great movie!

  • They 13 are salieri fans

  • damn, i was going to use that theme too....:(

  • Thanks for the warning in the end. That's very kind. :)

  • PIANO CONCERTO NO. 22! ONE OF MY FAVORITES!!!

  • Yeh thats the sex in the city girl.

  • i cnt find the backwards scene plz help!!!

  • @MrDubja No need for derogatory language, because you are generalizing like he is.

  • It's my fevourite too...I don't know why, but it's just perfect!!!

  • Sex and the city of Vienna!

  • @darfdm Actually there could have been a few. Black people didn't just migrate to Europe through the slave trade, and free migration is recorded as far back as 1510 (if we want to split hairs we could reference Roman migration which would go back another 1500 years or so). It's an unfortunate fact that black migration is solely linked to slavery.

  • Isn't that Cynthia Nixon?

    She looks so young!

  • Why isn't Lorenzo Da Ponte in the movie? He wrote librettos for Mozart and Salieri, but the movie's authors seem don't know who he was.

  • @Miauriceful

    He wrote "farfallone amoroso" too

  • @Miauriceful I agree! And Haydn should have been more in the movie too since he and Mozart where such good friends, but I guess Shaftner wanted to aim all of the story of the fictional relationship between Salieri and Mozart.

  • ahhhhh I've been to where they filmed that scene!!

  • hah! that's Cynthia Nixon..."Miranda Hobbes" of the Sex and the City fame. wow she looks so young...and sexy! hehe Okay and a nod to all the classical music lovers, yeah, great music!

  • No. 22 and the third movement to be exact ;)

  • He's in the trademark red coat!

  • One of my favourite movies.

I just recently noticed though, in this scene, that the sound of a Grand Piano, (where notes are struck by a hammer) is coming out of a harpsichord (where notes are plucked).

  • @Matt5199012 Not a harpsichord, a fortepiano. The 'piano' shown in this scene is a fortepiano, an early incarnation of the modern piano. And the sound coming from it is accurate.

  • @Matt5199012 It does look similar to a harpsichord though. (which is accurate)

  • Which concerto is this? I would love to get a recording of it in it's entirety

  • @TonyMontague

    I think it's piano concerto 20-something...

Sorry I couldn't give you the exact number ^^'
