  • You got your cats on their still?

And would that intake contribute to the sound? Ive heard it doesn't.

I got a 07 LE I'm looking to put this on to.

  • Sounds awesome! I just got a nismo 2007. Going to pick it up tomorow :D

  • oh my God! my eyes! my eyes! i cant see because of the exhaust fuel!

  • nice so how much of an increase did u gain, i put in a cold air intake as well , k&n . and how is the dual pipe better than the single pipe exhaust?

  • i got an 07 frontier le and im looking to get that very exhaust.. thank you for the last push i needed to click the chekout button :)

  • @jasonwp123 Cool man, enjoy it!!

  • I have a 06 Nissan Frontier CrewCab. Is that what I ask for a 2in and 2 out universal muffler? I don't know what that means but is that what I tell them? And then of course take it to my local muffler shop. It sounds fucking bad!

  • @renedelafuente123 You could probably ask for Magnaflow part #11385, or maybe just order it off the Internet and take it to your muffler shop. But they should know what 2in/2out means (or say dual in/dual out).

  • Where did you buy the muffler and how much did it cost to install? I know it will range depending on who installs it and all that but if I can get that sound for under 600 I will be a happy man. Do you notice any hp or torque increase or decrease?

  • @askds35 I bought it from a custom exhaust shop. It's a 2in/2out universal muffler. The muffler, custom piping, and installation totaled $340.

There was a definite horsepower increase on the top end after the installation of this muffler, torque seemed the same. However, after installing a Hypertech tuner, there is a huge increase of both torque and horsepower. You really need a tuner to take advantage of the exhaust to the fullest.

  • sweet dude, that sounds bad ass. i have a 07 nissan frontier LE. it has a single flowmaster on it. im wantin to make it sound like that. how much did that cost?

  • Nice , sounds about as good as it gets for frontiers. I have a 07 also. I was wondering with the intake and pipes how does it do on gas mileage? I just put a cold air K&N in mine and now it gets 19.5mpg when I'm not driving like a bat straight out of hell. Do the pipes help with the gas mileage at all or is it mainly performance?

  • @askds35 The pipes didn't help with gas mileage, but they didn't hurt it either. So I'm fine with that.

  • Hey, i just installed a Banks Monster exhaust on my 07 and on the freeway it acts a little stupid when you hit the gas lower than a couple thousand RPMs. RPM's go up for a second then come on back to where they were and start to try to pull. The Cruise Control now shuts off by itself cuz it can't pull.......anyone else have this issue with aftermarket Exhausts? Take Care

  • sounds good

  • hey man how much did the exhaust run? and how much do you pay for insurance if you dont mind me asking. Im16 and my dads bying me a truck and i can get a frontier or a colorado

  • ok kid. so a custom exaust is different price from shop to shop.. you can get just the muffle for only about $100-120 bucks for complete custom exhaust.. in my state of tn and local shops its about $200.00 for complete custom job. and insurance also varys from state to state and person to person. id go with the frontier but NOT A never model id go with the 1998-2000 models cause they look the nicest (single CAB) thats what i have and i love it.

  • Comment removed

  • What model is the muffler you're using? I'm considering a similar setup for my 2008 Frontier.

  • Magnaflow part #11385

  • hey Fearnight i was watching the video and i was wondering what Magnaflow series you have ??

  • Pretty raspy.. Did you gut a cat?

  • hey sounds nice

but yea wat did u replace for ur dual in and dual out exhaust

  • dude thats the perfect way to describe the problem it doesnt fucking down shift. i hate that so much, i wish i would have gotten a manual transmission as well. do you know of any product that could fix that. thanks man.

  • nice truck man. i just bought an 09 with a 4.0 v6 and i was wondering do you drive your truck in gear D or on 3 gear on the streets. cause ive notice if i drive my truck on D on the streets when it gets to 4 gear its it gets very heavy to pick up speed gradually, unless i punch it. do you know what im talking about. thanks man

  • When I merge onto the interstate I'll bump it down to 4 (overdrive off). Like you said, you basically have to floor it sometimes to get it to downshift. For some reason they let the automatic bog and lose speed too much. Makes me wish I got the 6-spd. manual at times.

  • dude your so fucking right, i just drove it a while ago and thats the perfect way to describe the problem it doesnt fucking down shift. i also wish i would have gotten a manual transmission, oh well i guess im fucked for a few months. next car 2010 mustang gt 5speed. and do you know of anything that could fix this problem. thanks man.

  • Not that I know of. Eventually you will figure out how to give it a quick "blip" to make it downshift, but that doesn't always work well.

  • @Fearnight

to be honest that what happens when its controlled by an electronic drive by-wire

  • it doesnt down shift to keep the gas mileage high most new cars do this too

  • Just get a supercharger heh heh

  • A supercharger would be nice but only if you plan on going fast often, in my opinion...(they're also kind of expensive)

I have an '06 4.0 v6 Manual six gears and it rocks since you definitely get more control over the engine; you can drive on cool low revs on a sunday morning, or keep it on high revs and short gears when in a hurry :)

  • My friend has a 2006 Nissan Frontier that sounds just like that. It's so loud that you could actually hear it from a couple blocks away. I love dual exhaust pipes. I also love how it sounds like when you gun the motor up to speed.

  • very nice truck I been looking for one, what motor did you have and i would like to know if the frontier has a locking rear differential, you can test when twist it in any small bump. nice Frontier/ Arnie

  • I have the 4.0L V6 (265hp stock). Yes, I also have an electronic push button rear locker which comes with the NISMO package.

  • mitsubishi strada the best.

  • i think the stock Frontier has a "sexier" exhaust note :P

  • sounds just like my pathfinder

  • fuck yea man!

    we own one of those!

    dual exhaust

    k&N air intake!

    shits so hard!

  • Someone who wants more power/fuel economy/sound quality, which I would many drivers want.

  • did you really just ask that?

  • You have obviously never been to the South, because it's rare to find a pickup WITHOUT exhaust.

  • Hey thanks for posting this video. I've an 07' Frontier and I'm looking at exhaust. This Magnaflow sounds great. But I hope they can have the dual pipes from the back. How much did your parts cost? Did you install it yourself? If not how much did professional installation cost you?

    Thanks alot!

  • It was $340 for parts and install. I did not install it myself, the pipes were custom bent and welded at an exhaust shop. I also would prefer it to be out both sides, but he said it would get tight on the left during full flex.

  • weak

  • im guessing this is a v6 though right??

    nice sound though, love it

  • has this improved your MPG?

  • If HP is increased, chances are the MPG will decrease.

  • Your wrong. The less restrictive the exhaust is the more your gas mileage will increase.

  • Some engines need back pressure to run optimally. In your case you'll feel the slight difference at highway speeds. But like I said, physics dictate MORE power is created by MORE fuel. Don't worry, you're computer will make the adjustments for you.

  • just because hp goes up, doesn't mean mpg's go down. for instance, if you lean out an engine, it will make more power from there being more air & compression, but at the cost of more heat in the combustion chamber. and obviously, leaner conditions means less gas going in/buring.

  • Then you run the risk of pre detonating. The computer is going to going to dump gas to make it run efficiently according to preset parameters. You may be right, but I'm just saying from what I've read and done with my former 1987 Grand National. Increase hp, decrease mpg.

  • you're right about the possibility of pre detonation, however you're way wrong about "MORE power with MORE fuel." you don't create power by adding a sh*t load of fuel; you create more power by either decreasing fuel or increasing AIR. this is the difference between a "safe" tune and an actual tune. a safe tune would have a higher fuel enrichment, say like an air-fuel ratio of 10.5:1 (10.5 parts air to 1 part fuel) is safer but at the cost of power. more fuel, less air, lower combustion temps.

  • you make more power with higher combustion temps & more pressure. a more ideal afr would be something like 12.5:1. what you were referring to w/your GN was more boost. boost=air. adding more increased your power. your stock ecu automatically compensated with more fuel; yea it was more powerful, but it wasn't because of the higher fuel enrichment. if that were the case you could have simply added fuel w/o turning up the boost! a retune w/less fuel would have been ideal & more powerful.

  • just to give you an idea we lined up 2 08 frontiers. one bone stock, one we advanced timing by 3 degrees and LEANED OUT a little using the nissan CONSULT diagnostice tool. first off, the retuned frontier put 2 truck lengths on the stock fronty. then we filled both up, hopped on the freeway and went 60 miles with the cruise set at 60mph. guess which one had more fuel in the tank after 60miles? increase was about 3mpg's on the retuned fronty.

  • The chip I had in definitely was set for 93 octane and up to 16 lbs boost. Obviously advanced timing was factored in. I had a scanmaster that showed me the air/fuel ratio and I was at minimal knock at full boost. Its all a delicate balance no doubt.

  • Well, yes, you need more air to go with the fuel. UNLESS there was a cold air intake or something similar (even a K&N)the air will be limited, limiting fuel will limit potential power. I was just saying to increase horsepower, more fuel is usually needed unless a chip is involved to make the computer to perform "outside the box".

  • sweet, i got a 07 SE Frontier, lookin for an exhaust to put on it

  • Have an '06; I think the stock sounds better than what you have here. Extra power is probably nice though. Notice any change in MPG?

  • The stock has no sound, how can it sound better?

  • How can the stock exhaust have no sound?

  • how annoying does the droning get?

  • Is isn't annoying at all since there is no drone when I have cruise set at 60-75mph.

  • The tips are crooked.

  • sounds like my pathfinder .....check out my videos

  • thats a nice set-up

    how many mpg's you get?

  • 16.5 city/18-19 highway. This is with a fairly heavy foot too.

  • Thats the best sounding exhaust on the frontier i've heard so far. Could i get that at any exhaust shop that stocks magnaflow?

  • Yeah, you should be able too. Also, make sure you watch my other exhaust video to hear it more.

  • Yeah I did. Idk much about magnaflow, what do you mean by a custom made muffler.

  • Custom made exhaust pipes, the muffler is a Magnaflow universal.

  • Oh ok. So are you completely satisfied with the exhaust, like the way it sounds, etc.

  • Yeah, I love the way it sounds and the extra power it gives.

  • it sounds bad ass, of course compensating for the camera mic.

  • do you know if this is 2.5in?

  • 2.25"

  • Where did you get those

  • Custom made at a local exhaust shop.

  • what kind of magnaflows r they

  • what size muffler is that?

  • 14"

  • woooo! bama!

  • if your getting 15.5 or 16.5 your foot is in it alil to much... the truck will get a good average of 19-21mpg, but seriosly that sounds great! how much did the shop charge for the fab work...

  • $340

  • Yeah, I'm averaging about 18mpg when driving normally. I was giving it hell that day to test out the power increase, which is amazing btw.

  • Do you use 87 octane (regular gas) or 91/93 (premium gas)?

  • 93 octane

  • What does the owner's manual recommend?

  • Just regular. I've been running regular (87) now since the gas prices took off. I was running premium because my 350z (same engine family as Frontier) specifically required it.

  • But does your Frontier really need premium? Don't waste you money if the manual recommends 87. I'd only put premium in if I were putting lots of load upon that engine, like towing a heavy trailer.

  • No, it doesn't require it. I did notice a slight power improvement running 93 over 87 but it isn't worth the extra money at all.

  • same family but different motor and the one in your fronty which is the same as the one in my xterra does not require premium.

  • i think they are the same motor unless he has the legendary 5.6l v8 in it

  • doesnt the frontier have the vg 40?

  • a vq 4.0L and a 2.5L option for fuel economy

  • yeah thats what I said

  • you said a vg 40

  • My bad I meant vq Its the same engine my xterra has. I wanted a solid off road vehicle that could still substitute as a daily driver. I test drove the x, the fj cruiser, and a used jeep cherokee. I loved the power of the vq 40 the fj was wierd with absolutely no vision besides the front windshield. and the jeep was plain jane with a higher price. Sorry to ramble on just trying to make conversation.

  • DAMN!! i get 16.5 miles per gallon!!
