Initially, Clement had planned Delon for Philippe's role. At the first meeting of the team Delon announced that he felt he could do a better job as Tom Ripley. He almost took the risk of being shown the door. But Clement's wife supported him.

A beautiful ( the most fitful adjective for his delicate features ) man; any woman beauty beside him just pales compared to his extremely good looks .Good to focus on his eyes because these are the most endearing .

Great work mixing picture and sound indeed, as thenton 2003 said. I love the still frames stepping up at times to show more and more close-ups in a progressive manner to build the qualities Delon brought to Tom: almost angelic at times, yet sinister; boyish, yet conniving; a victim, yet murderous. He did a great job, and so did you. Bravo. I love watching this as a summary to the original movie. Thanks! You'd make a great video director. :-)

私は男性ですが、それまでは男性の顔は牛や馬の顔のように皆同じに見えてました。ところが、札幌で学生の時「太陽がいっぱい」のアラン・ドロンを拝見した時、「女性より魅力的な顔がある」ことが分かりました。現在まで彼を越える男性はおりません。映画は彼の顔に気を引かれて、ストーリーはどうでも良くなり、よく覚えてません。

One of my favorite movies with alain delon and a great soundtrack. The end of the movie was brilliant. Another good movie with delon is "La Piscine", the englich title is Swimmingpool. "Le aventuriers" (the adventurers) was awesome too. There are lots of great movies with delon, but those are my favorites.
