However, if you go back in history and look at the Greats of Boxing there has never been one exception in where a defining fight for a boxer, so as to become truly "the best pound per pound" (for that generation), has been turned down for a lame excuse, in fact they were never turned down. However, if you go back in history and look at the Greats of Boxing there has never been one exception in where a defining fight for a boxer, so as to become truly "the best pound per pound" (for that generation), has been turned down for a lame excuse, in fact they were never turned down. Floyd doesn't fight like Hatton or De La Hoya, or Clottey. none of the fighters fight like Floyd. This also isn't to take away from Manny's accomplishments in the ring, but Floyd is a whole new ball game. You can hate Floyd's persona but you can't deny what the man has done. So to say Manny would win, ok you can like who you like. But beat Floyd easily??? I doubt it

@chicovill305 but that is BOXING. you know hit and not get hit. you must look at the fighters. Mayweather is not a power punch. for him to sit and trade shots would be suicide. so he mixes up small in and out combos, works the punch every GOOD "boxer" should have "the jab". that is the realest boxing you can get because he doesn't let the crowd force him into a brawl in which he would get his head knocked off. Can it be boring??? HELL YEAH, but I got to respect it. the man has never been down.

@chicovill305 Pac man is a FIGHTER more than a boxer. crushing power punches, great speed and endurance. not too much countering or in and out tactics. if you are willing to put your pride on the line and trade shots, it is lights out. EXCITING AS ALL HELL!!! but not really good boxing. main problem with Mayweather is his unwillingness o finish people even after hurting them, and he usually ends up hurting opponents. so like you said Floyd is not a real FIGHTER, because he is a BOXER.

I hate the fucker, but you got to respect his talent and ability. if they fight there is only 3 out comes. floyd wins by eluding/running. Floyd loses from being willing to trade with Manny (doubt he will stand and trade) or Manny wins by catching up to Floyd (unlikely, but possible) they both have crazy speed and endurance. they both have the right to be called great FIGHTERS/BOXERS... just show respect though

look you guys want to hate mayweather so much its ridiculous... Ive cheered for pacqiou in every fight hes fought (except the last one didnt care) but the hatred mayweather gets s totally insane.... I know 95% of pac fans really dont give a shit about him.. Its just that hes the one they hope that can beat mayweather.... its not about love for pac.. its hate for may..
