Car Design Sketch Tutorial for a Supercar using Autodesk Alias Studiotools

i have a qeustion about wheels. i know from the side view its just circles that are 2.5 wheel lengths apart (sometimes 3 or 3.5 but w/e) and from the 2 point perspective, the axles come from a vanishing point and the minor axis of the elipse is perpendicular to the axle (major axis). BUT how do you figure out the distance between the wheels and how do you make the wheels look the same size, and also how do you decide on the minor axis length of the elipse from 2 point perspective?

i find he's trying to do too much details too quickly ....you should save those small details for later on in the design process
