Uematsu is no a good composer, he's REMARCABLE composer. Most composer I know, either for games or movies, are good but always seem to stick to the same style or feel, which is not a bad thing, but Uematsu always has to outdo himself. Unlike many franchises, every FF differ from one another in such that the composer had to get the rigth feel to each. Also, he has succesfully jumped to movie score and mixed orchestral with Heavy Metal. Something that legendary rock bands could'n even do.

We all talked inside of the hall. And there was that hugeeeeee line.

And you kinda begin looking past the people, and there he was. Bandana, long hair giving his autographs. I didnt manage to get my autograph, but being in a 5 meter radius of he who wrote all this beautyfull music you have been listening to for years and finally seeing him in real life.. That was simply amazing. Can't wait to go to his concert next year.

I like the piano version of "Those Who Fight Further" from the film "Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children." That, to me, is Uematsu at the top of his game, along with Aerith's Theme, Interrupted by Fireworks, To Zanarkand and, of course, Liberi Fatali and One Winged Angel. Great list. My one complaint: The Temple of the Ancients music from FF7 isn't here. I haven't played any FF games before 7, so I can't comment on the others.

1st part of FF6's Opening is based on the song from 2001 space odyssey

Solo in Electric de chocobo is based on Wipeout from the '60s

1st part of One winged angel is based upon the theme from hitchcock thriller Psycho

Red Wings from FFIV has a similar theme to a part of a bossfight track in Chrono Trigger

etc. Uematsu's work is amazing!
