  • somebody is throwing a " curved ball " here ! Gozleme is not a pitta or naan it is all out there on its own We have a place in Dalyan Turkey & a Gozleme is a pancake !! and to that end it is filled with all sort's of filling's it can be honey, cheese, meat, meat & potato, apple, chocolate, The list goes on and they "ARE TO DIE FOR" all this talk about Turkish cuisine is making me salivate !!We next go out to our Villa on 12th June 2011 can't wait bring it on !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Thumbs up for the sweet Turkish lady!

  • we have the same thing in afghanistan called Bolannni

  • Thanks for this video, it looks lovely! Do you use fresh spinach inside? What spices do you use?

  • Fresh spinach and other than a little salt, I don't think they put anything else.

  • Thanks for that, they do look so tasty and wholesome. A quickly healthy snack. I can't wait to get my hands on a few recipes and give these a go. I love turkish food yum :)

  • the local turkish shop hier in holland makes them. i have seen them making it and they added paprika to the spinach. i didnt see them add salt, but they mixed in feta cheese so i dont think that it needed salt.

if you do make them make have some friends over to help you make and eat them, its not worth the work if you only make 4 or 5.

  • this bread is so tasty i became addicted to it when i was in turkey specially the one that stuffed with minced beef mmmmmm

  • mmm it looks delicious

  • Nat got me here too. xD Then i realised I've eaten gozleme before.. i just never knew what it was called. <--fool.

  • so basically a turkish quesadilla lol

  • Hey, I never thought of it that way, but yes, it is like a Turkish quesadilla.

  • not even close , u need to smell and see it close up. basically pita wrapped around feta , then fried on the special pan. the pita is usually very thin so it starts burning brown and black on the outside, but the inner layers boil with the steam and become very soft and white. the egg+feta filling is the best, but they also have potatoes+onion+parsley+black pepper , minced meta + onion + pepper.

The poster forgot to mention that you should drink "Ayran" with it (Yoghurt+Water+Salt, easy)

  • I guess I better thank Nat for all the traffic -- Thanks!
