hey ass holes...... its a fcuking hollywood film! what are you all arguing about?? ha ha...... its CGI - - - but yes very realistic... should i ever whitness a plane crash this is probably what it would look like
Everyone who has watched this closely knows the cop was looking the wrong way and so couldn't have seen what was coming. Other than that, very, very well donw.
Listen guys if I am correct, that guy at 1.07 the firefighter was looking wrong way, he was looking straight but the plane was coming on the right side. They made a mistake
Wow this is the most exadurated crap i have ever seen!!! In the crash its clear that both of the engines are completely destroyed! and then nicolas cage walks right past one still in alomost perfect condition and still running?!?! This crash is a complete fail in every way!!!
i dont know why but that one person at the end that pushed nicholas out of the way and told him to step back, yea i know he was doing his job but i cant figure out for the life of me why it is i want to belt him in the face
This was well done. Aside from it's reality, it has a nightmare quality...seeing the plane off to the right striking the high tension wires and it's engine sound. In addition to the carnage and death...the most affecting and nightmarish quality for me is the detached engine spooling down...it gives the whole sequence an enhanced believablity.
Another theory is that there are people on the ground, people were waiting for traffic to end, they could have exited their cars and walked to look at the scenery, looks like a park to me, and then been in a close proximity to the aircraft crash, causing them to be caught on fire by the flames them self or jet fuel/hydraulics fuel lit ablaze.
@hellcatdave1 Your theory doesn't hold much weight. #1, you can see as the plane skids across the ground that this is an open field, not a park. Secondly, it's not exactly the kind of weather you'd look at scenery in even if it was a park. Plus getting out of your car to go see what's going on is one thing, but leaving your car on a major highway to go look at scenery is not exactly smart. Never know when traffic will get moving again.
@ballermd0 Who said anyone was smart? Out of the population of the world, I'm sure only a few have "common sense" or any type of intellect. There are thousands of possibilities, and either way anyone could survive that. Actually, not to be offensive, but when the airliners crashed into the trade towers, passengers were still alive.
@hellcatdave1 Yes there are some idiots that do stupid things, but that is an exception to the rule. Most people use their common sense. Plus even if people did venture off into the field (or park) they'd be hurt or killed just as bad as the people on the plane. Also once again, I do not see your logic. How many people on the planes that hit the WTC towers survived? NONE. So why mentioned they were alive when the planes hit? Secondly, there is no evidence to back up that claim.
@hellcatdave1 (cont.) If passengers on the planes that hit the WTC were still alive when it hit, then why didn't not even one person find an exit and make it down and out of the buildings? There was time. Because if anyone did survive we can't assume they all were trapped. So your theory has no supporting facts. Plus I keep telling you that I'm not saying nobody couldn't survive a crash like from this scene. I'm saying they'd be too injured or dazed to walk about so quickly.
@ballermd0 Are you stupid? They were burning alive because they were covered in jet fuel and hydraulic fuel. They can't get out because the jet was ablaze along with every last passenger inside and the ceiling had collapsed on top of them before the larger collapse of both buildings. There is no such thing as too injured or dazed, anyone could make it out if they had something we like to call "adrenaline rush". If you managed to not survive a crippling wound, that is.
@hellcatdave1 Am I stupid? Listen jerk, I'm not the idiot that believes passengers on the planes that hit the WTC were still alive AFTER they hit the buildings. We know for a fact that the planes were traveling at about 586 MPH. These planes, along with the passengers were pretty much disintegrated on impact. These people were killed INSTANTLY and if you continue to insist they weren't then it's apparent you suffer from brain damage. Stop wasting my time.
@hellcatdave1 Excuse all the hell out of me for actually having a life outside of Youtube and didn't get back to you sooner Your Highest. Get a life! And war? There never was a war, this is more like a one-sided @ss kickin'. AND YOU'RE LOSING! I like how you alter your statements to make up for your dumbness. So earlier you said they are burning alive with other last minute passengers. Now they were only alive for a millisecond? NEWSFLASH DUMBASS- A millisecond "IS" instant death
@hellcatdave1 Um, listen. Let's say we test this theory out. How bout you do us all a favor and go jump off the nearest, highest bridge you can find. Maybe you'll die in 0.01 milliseconds, maybe you'll die at 0.0000001 gazillaseconds, or maybe your dumb ass will just die.... PLEASE! Because the more you talk, the more you sound like the foolish idiot that you are. With that I'm done, I won't waste any more of my time trying to educate some dumb ass retard.
IF any of you actually believe that you could not survive a plane crash like this, you need to look at aircraft incidents in history. You all must believe that because of the impact, no one could survive, along with the explosion. The explosions are caused by jet fuel and hydraulics fuel, not every part of the aircraft has these chemicals in it. If you look closely, parts of the fuselage skidded and deformed rather than exploding. You can survive that.
I love how the police officer is all like :O and Nicolas is all like O.O but they're both facing the traffic when the plane comes in from the right hand side of the screen...
Realistically, would there really be this many survivors in a plan crash like this, if any? And if there were, would they be conscience, all in one piece, and able to just walk about like they just crashed a 10-speed bike into a ditch? The actual crash looks very real, but the aftermath isn't even remotely believable. A good disaster movie needs to be believable. That's the problem with Hollywood movies today. Most aren't believable.
If this were a faster plane, i'd agree, but at the speed it was going at, there would be a high chance of not being killed by the crash. And we only saw 10, 15 people at most walking about, but in a plane that size there would have been at least 100 people in it, so not that many of them were in a state to walk about, they'd just be the lucky ones.
@brynabus3000 One's perception of a plane's speed can be deceiving. Ex. - when you see a plan taking off it looks rather slow, but we know it takes at least 180 mph for a big plane to take off. So while it looks slow it's actually going very fast. And a large plane like this landing would at minimum be traveling 140 mph. THAT'S NOT SLOW! The force of a plane hitting that fast/hard would be catastrophic. Oh, and add explosion on impact to the mix. I dont see 11-15 people walking out of this.
@ballermd0 You could survive a crash like that, but they never said there was no one in the area the aircraft crashed, which could have survived until being spewed by jet fuel that is lit on fire. This is a very realistic rendition.
@hellcatdave1 I never said nobody could survive a crash like this. It's possible, but 11 - 15 people? I don't see it. Also my point was that if there were survivors I don't see them getting up and walking about so fast. They'd most likely be knocked out, too dazed, in shock or too hurt, maybe even missing limbs. As for your theory that people were in the area the plane crashed, um yea I'm sure people were walking around in an open field beside a highway in pouring rain. Yeah right!
What the hell... I just live around the Logan Airport and my apartment is straight ahead the runway. I saw airplanes flying this low JUST RIGHT above me everyday!!! (Google my apartment: Shelby St, East Boston)
You see a guy running from a crash sight entirely engulfed in flames and screaming! Do you really think he's going to stop and chat for few minutes? Apparently, Nicholas Cage does. "Hey...Hey!!!" LOL
@TheSuperBlackMan Hahahaha..... I think that burning man was very rude! He could of least said hello.... Instead of that he just walks straight past him and continues to burn.... the nerve of some people!
Did anyone else notice the biggest mistake of all in this clip ? The windshield wiper speeds from .08 to .10 and .31 seconds don't match the speed they are going at 0.34 seconds when he steps out of the truck. It just ruined the whole thing for me. Jeesh, where's the Continuity ???!
first of all 2:14 was like we survived and then boom, felt sry, second imagine u where in there place,i was not afraid of planes but when i watched this movie i am scared to death of planes, the best movie i ever seen cause all the crashes in the movie espacially the fire scene looked so real
Just out of curiosity: in this movie, why must Nicolas Cage be at the exact coordinates of each disaster?? I mean, he could have watched on the sidelines or something, but he could have been killed!!
@mrtamez2009 I agree. I was witness to the aftermath of a crash very similar to this many years ago. All died...most of the folks were dead on impact and only a couple lived a few SECONDS after...thank God. It was horrifying, but ironically comforting to know that there was very little left of anyone to make for suffering.
wanna hear something F'd up? my friend and i were supposed to go to vegas for a bowling tournament and he was like wanna go see a a movie...like two weeks prior...i was like what movie? he said knowing...my sister and i are going. i said sure ill go...WE TOOK A DAMN PLANE TO VEGAS AND I ALMOST SHAT MYSELF WHEN THE PLANE HIT TURBULANCE!!!!
Two things that makes this scene laughable, A. the Policeman looking ahead when the plane comes in from a different direction. B. Survivors coming away from a plane that blows up into a fireball LOL
Now you'll learn from this well researched and simulated plane crash that the back is the safest place for a plane crash because the front takes the most impact but the back takes less impact than the front.
I'm somewhat impressed by the long take from 1:10 until the end of this clip. For over two minutes, the 'camera' observes the crash, and everything that follows without cutting away. It reminded me of Alfonso Cuarón's astonishing work in 'Children of Men'. But it was not nearly as realistic.
there was a movie where the pilot tried to take the experimental plane(a silver plane i think) as high as he can without authorization , but loses control and crashes, he survived, everyone knows the name of that movie ?
1:51 you mean to tell me that after hitting the ground at 500 miles per hour, survived an explosion, and catch on fire, HOW COME DOES HE FUCKING STILL HAVE HIS HAT ON??????!!!!!!!

the plane looks like an Airbus A320. they did an ok job of modeling the plane.
RJfan 5 months ago
@RJfan It is an A320. You can at least tell its an Airbus by the cockpit and wing spikes

OMG when I was in the theatre it had DTS Surround Sound and the entire theatre was literally shaking when the plane crashed.

The cop looked behind Cage looked scared and started running yet the plane was coming from a different direction, WHAT'S GOING ON!!!
FalseRealityWazHere 5 months ago
Oh please! There'd be maybe ONE survivor and that person would probably die on the way to the hospital... hate to be morbid but had to be real.
mrtamez2009 5 months ago
@mrtamez2009 I agree. I was witness to the aftermath of a crash very similar to this many years ago. All died...most of the folks were dead on impact and only a couple lived a few SECONDS after...thank God. It was horrifying, but ironically comforting to know that there was very little left of anyone to make for suffering.

Two things that makes this scene laughable, A. the Policeman looking ahead when the plane comes in from a different direction. B. Survivors coming away from a plane that blows up into a fireball LOL

It does not in HD..

Why the policeman is looking ahead although the airplain on the right?
elfeliz 6 months ago
funny, I remember the crash looking a lot better* than it does now.
but man I love one cut scenes, this is definitely the best I've seen. How he goes in and interacts with the crash that just happened.
*by which I mean it doesn't blend with the scene as well, the explosion looks real, the composite is missing something though.
EnvyMy75 6 months ago
i think the plane in the crash is a boeing 757-200 or 767-200

This movie is horrible, but this scene is awesome and intense.

Now you'll learn from this well researched and simulated plane crash that the back is the safest place for a plane crash because the front takes the most impact but the back takes less impact than the front.
xunkownx499 7 months ago
I'm somewhat impressed by the long take from 1:10 until the end of this clip. For over two minutes, the 'camera' observes the crash, and everything that follows without cutting away. It reminded me of Alfonso Cuarón's astonishing work in 'Children of Men'. But it was not nearly as realistic.
hagenar 7 months ago
there was a movie where the pilot tried to take the experimental plane(a silver plane i think) as high as he can without authorization , but loses control and crashes, he survived, everyone knows the name of that movie ?
bboymiau 7 months ago
@bboymiau I believe the movie you are referring to is "The Right Stuff"
brushire37 7 months ago
@brushire37 omg man, thanks, thats it !!

1:51 you mean to tell me that after hitting the ground at 500 miles per hour, survived an explosion, and catch on fire, HOW COME DOES HE FUCKING STILL HAVE HIS HAT ON??????!!!!!!!
vianbeal1 8 months ago
Why didn't that guy who was on fire just drop into the water puddles?
omgrobbiee 8 months ago
@omgrobbiee When your on fire you generally just panic and can't think straight, unless you've had training.
TaZ101SAGA 7 months ago
The plane didn't crash, that's just how Plymouth Air lands! :)
