Your mission is: To find some good footage of Rally GB Sweetlamb stage as it returns this year to the RAC. I have some footage but its not brill. Need some footage of them blasting down the hill towards sweet lamb bowl, through the water splash etc!!Can you do it dgr64?

Good Man! I have the Top Gear split screen footage of Mcrae v Sainz down the hill in sweet lamb but think there is more. Footage I have is 94 I think? There must be tons of footage in Sweet Lamb as it was such a popular stage back then!

Thanks for a great reminder of when the GB rally was more than a drive round Cardiff; snow, night driving and everyone got to see it. A real time capsule with the title music as well.
I think the WRC is starting to make a return to its roots in a way. They've now stopped using the run-flat tires, making road-side repairs more common. something else was taken out too, but I've forgotten what it was.
We used to take our family holliday at a cottage on the edge of the Hafren & i used ot spend my das tearing throught the trails & wooldand on my trials bike, nedles to say this meant my dad could do his homework & work out how to get where to spectate & have a shakedown in his Granada Wife, kids, dogs n all :)

I can't tell you how excited I used to get back in those days when that theme came on. I literally went nuts. Still the rally only came once a year...

i'm 3/4 of the way thru the 2000 season at the moment,but i won't forget.
i think i've got the bbc AND eurosport footage from 94/95,but there quite a bit more from other years aswell....

Hafren would be ace. I miss the Dyfi stages too. Im fed up of the same old stages. Bet the drivers ae too !
