What he says makes perfect sense. It seems most of fucking idiots don't know about an international phone nor travel outside N America. If you go anywhere in the world, at least outside North America, most CDMA phone will not work. Your GSM phone will however work, ONLY if it's an international phone (which has the int'nl bands built in). On the contrary, not everybody travels. If you are one of the the millions out there who don't travel out side the country, this shit does not apply to you.
I'm sorry but if you look @ sprint & verizon they always have shitty phones....T-mobile & ATT have top of the line phones.....Verizon & Sprint get sloppy seconds...I agree the guy is like a mad scientist and knows nothing....But truthfully speaking GSM is a better technology and I'm never never stuck with a phone even if it's contracted.,....I just dump it on Ebay....buy another and put in my sim card....You can't do that with Sprint. And I've never had a dropped call ever.
Dumbass, Sprint DOES have Nextel, which is SIM enabled. If you want to spew you crap about a company, at least know what you're talking about first, or at least sound like you do. You've got to be kidding about T-Mobile right? Sure you can use unlocked phone with T-Mobile (as you can also do the same with Sprint) and don't lie about the dropped calls. At&T, maybe not so much, but T-Mobile is notorious for drop calls. Don't lie for a company that's stealing your money.
Who the fuck is this retard. He has no fucking clue about what is talking about. I had a verizon phone and it worked in South America fine. Bahamas..no problem. This guy is talking out of his ass.
This guy has absolutely no clue what he is talking about. Verizon is the leading company controlling the evolution of the cellular industry. They were the largest winner of the 700MHz auction and will be deploying LTE (the next world standard for cellular) faster than any of their competitors will. Last, GSM is limited on data speeds thus why GSM carriers are moving to W-CDMA.
haha.. Did he just say that Nextel was CDMA? This guy does not know what he's talking about in ANYTHING. I hope TheStreetTV doesn't interview more idiots like this one.
He is on iPhones nuts, CDMA is native to the US who cares about GSM in other countries, we use 99.9% of the cell phone in the US, except for travelers but it makes only a surface scratch.
Doesn't Alltel and MetroPCS use CDMA also? I'm not trying to defend Verizon or Sprint, because I hate them. BUT you really need to get ur shit straight. I know they aren't major companies, but don't say, "NObody in the World use CDMA but Verizon and Sprint." When clearly, there is.
This guy is a complete retard. In most countries cell phone networks are GSM but just about everything else he stated was untrue. RIM is coming out with a blackberry model (Thunder) exclusively for Verizon/Vodafone
haha ur wrong. they are the leading smartphone companies and they do have world phones. the top 2 rated phones are on sprint right now!!

Counter argument:
1. Verizon is doing WELL in the marketplace, probably soon to become the largest wireless provider in the US.
2. Manufacturers today ARE producing phones for CDMA users. As long as people are buying CDMA phones, why wouldn't they produce it?
3. Technologies evolve. Good companies are smart. No evidence is given that Verizon can't deal with this issue.
