Lovely horse!! She looks a lot like my little white Arab mare, who also used to overjump when I jumped her! :) And I give you a 10 for the landing, lol I've never been able to land on my feet in the 20-30 times I've had a horse dump me

Haha had the same fall but not at a show my first time jumping the 17hh Irish sports horse mare took and amazing distance away from the jump and over jumped it alot I fell right on my back though and got dragged oh and I also floors off ha it hurt I got whip lash and got winded I was sore 4 like 3 weeks ha! You did an amazing job and you are a great rider nice Arab Btw it's so pretty

My horse overjumps alot. Even though you fell you rode that pretty well, I would have been lying on the ground after that (but of course i'd be back up in 1 second, or 30 if i don't the wind knocked out of me). Also on an unrelated matter I've taken to Dressage (I learned how to do a shoulder-in on my horse who has never done one before), I'm just feeling chatty right now :).

the first time i fell at a show i said the samething and jinx myself...lol it wasnt even over a jump ...the horse spun it a spook and i landed standing next to her...lol...did a nice cleaning job on the horse :)

George Morris would say she needs to stop jumping and go back to some flat work before she gets killed! She has no leg, and she's jumping for the horse (i.e. leaning forward at the base of the jump). This is a good example to all of you juniors out there who do the same thing. Look what can happen!

She's probably improved alot since this vid was posted, but my original comment is still true. Too many riders start jumping before they're ready. So, you can defend this type of riding all you want, but it still doesn't make it right.....or safe.

If she was a better rider, she wouldn't have to do an "emergency dismount". That's a ridiculous term anyway. Do you know how many things can go wrong when you try to dismount a horse that's moving??
