@lovemOnroe1 Depending from where you are you can continue hitting them but its usually when their against the wall, though you can get double uppercuts if you hit them when their at the highest point when trying to jump over your head.

As the other guy mentioned before though, shang tsung is amazing (all I play online) but he gets slaughtered up close, it just seems like he's half the speed of everyone else. I mean a 4 hit combo has to be finished on your gamepad by the time tsung on the screen lands 1 maybe 2 hits of that combo. It doesn't feel connected at all like say UMK3 where it was all instant as of when you pushed the buttons. Makes me want to hard wire the controller via USB to remove the lag.

This has to be playstation, just throwing a down close down up or overhead fireball (the down up one) is damn near impossible on xbox because of their shitty angled d-pad. I'd need an arcade stick for that. The most I can ever land is 13 fireballs (with no punches :) )

On the first combo after the 6th hit while Shang is transforming back it's almost impossible to get his 3-hit kick combo in because it always lags out to the x button kick which is stupid because I press forward + O for the starter of the kick combo. I'm sorry to say....but that combo is nearly impossible.

And ermac's easy to get around, which move do they spam?

If it's force lift, just block, and if you have a character with a fast move, like Smoke's smoke bomb or just combo them.

I main Ermac so I know how easily i can get beaten if my force lift's become predictable.

@VideoAddict31 Yeah, i play Shang Tsung.. ive played him since the MK2 days, but i wish he was a big easier to play in this game (ie be able to pick a couple characters at LEAST to morph into, or at least be able to morph into the enemy and stay morphed till you wanna turn back?) i also play as Freddy quite a bit, but he is just alot of fun.. although i notice i get alot of my stuff blocked on him as well..

Shang Tsung is beast, but I agree about the whole soul steal thing. It shuld last longer or have a random transform special move, which let's him become any character. But if they did that you'd lose soul steal's damage boost, so maybe not such a good idea. Also i've matched quite a few freddies online, and he is pretty easy to block, becuz i never need to crouch block, maybe they were bad..? Most of his moves are an easy punish for Ermac's Force Push/ Gravity Squeeze. I.e. claw'z.

When Shang Tsung takes Quan Chi's body he gets a dmg boost, then as Quan Chi apply a second dmg boost and then do xray. 54% Dmg

@Kamelg Atleast wall combos take skill. But the Ermac, Noob spam you mentioned does not. It's just kids playing cheap because they suck. Whenever I fight someone like that, i'll take them to the corner so I can show them some spam too. I can Kitana a 45% wall combo with Kitana and a 33% midscreen too using Kitana.

I'd like to pull off the 4:45 combo (f434, ud4r2, <<, d2, <<, f434, ud4r2, b1214, fdb3). Any tips for the timing on the uppercut, and the f434 after it? I pull off the uppercut at times, but I've only managed the f434 just once.

@jimmygott the kombat codes are a godsend. Infinite bars + no X-rays + health recovery + no breakers. THAT is what I call real gameplay. Try it sometime if you and your group are fast enough to get all the codes out, you will NOT be sorry
