  • this is appledore, right?

  • What happened to southern's going: "welcome aboard the southern service to..."

  • @geko7844 I don't know since I'm Swedish but when I used suburban trains in London, class 377 and 455/456 used different announcements. Seems like 171 uses the same as the latter...

  • @Pep1869 Im not so sure about the FCC 317s and 365s, but Julie Berry is deffinately on the 170 FCC trains from Hull to Manchester (i think), they were the first FCC trains to be updated from chime only to full auto annoucer.

Were also currently developing a system for the HST Crosscountry fleet (class 43)

A voice artist has not been chosen yet but it will probably end up being Julie :)

  • @HuDz1966 also on class 455s and class 508s and class 456s

  • shes annoying after a few stops lol.!!! Would love to see her facial expressions when she recorded it lol, there such enthesiasm in her voice !

  • I work for Bombardier Transportation and edited this audio myself =)

The voice artist is Julie Berry and we have used her voice over the years on countless Projects including:-

    Southern 377

    FCC 377

    LOROL 172

    Porterbrook 172

    Angel 465/2, 465/9 & 466/0

HSBC 465/0 & 465/1 (being refurbed starting this year)

    C2C 357

    Gatwick Express 442

  • @HuDz1966 I'm sure it is also on FCC class 317s and FCC class 365s

  • Is that one of those diesel trains from Brighton?

  • @matthewproductions10 That's An Electric Class 377

  • @matthewproductions10 yes it is, there are the stopping electric services Brighton-Ore and this faster diesel service to Ashford :)

  • Its joanna lumley !

  • could ring alive Ashford

  • Isn't it so pointless when she says after EVERY stop, "This is coach number 4 of 4" dispite the fact that all the stations are about a mile long anyways!

  • She must have made loads of money out of those announcements. Her voice is everywhere! Does she say "stand clear of the doors" on the tube?

  • Yes she does!!

    It is Emma Clark

Stand clear of the doors, mind the gap, the next station is "..."...

    Everybody love her voice!

  • This is Julie Berry's voice, not Emma Clarke.

Emma only voices Underground lines. Julie does the Piccadilly line, Southern and Southeastern.

  • I didn't know, thanks.

  • And First Capital Connect, c2c, National Express East Anglia.

  • She's more of a Baritone than an Alto lol! I mean that for a woman, she's got a surprisingly deep voice.

  • right, you are at appledore.

  • Ham Street lol
