@ReneeTDIComps There will always be bias cases in fashion industry.....Tyra said that she experienced rasicm in fashion industry before she achieve the supermodel title...its not easy to be on the top when such ignorant issue will be practiced by some people.
she is absolutely gorgeous...if she had more confidence i think she could have gone all the way...but she didnt need to win to become a top model...i think she is one of the most successful models post antm (i mean melrose quit the industry and she was runner up)

They associate light skin with wealth and beauty, because you would work indoors, if you have darker skin it means you do physical work outdoors (suntan) and are therefore poor. This is the belief in India, Vietnam, Cambodia, Indonesia etc...

Its all relative, in impoverished Asian countries they see people of their ethnicity who have dark skin as poor because of the tan they get working in labour jobs. They see people of their ethnicity with lighter skin as wealthy. It makes perfect sense.
