Cool video : ) Reason is really a great program, i like it. Lots of nice plugins and its good that you can use it with other programs , like cubase etc. If you want to listen to some really good electronic music you can check my channel and have a listen if you feel like it : )
plzzzzzzzzz hellllllllp i dont understand the concept very good : ( eq)
for exemple when i have - Low : 100 Hz ( i have to move the low shelf freq. to 100 ? cause when i do this i dont hear any difference !!!!!!!! ) plz need a respond
@mehdiand1job the reason your not hearing a difference is probably because your speakers frequency response doesn't go below 100 hz or so. you'll need a sub to hear those low frequencies.
this was a great tutorial. i have a question. when you increased the high end on the piano to brighten it up, it looked like the frequency curve moved towards occupying the vocal range again. is that what happeded?
i am starting in all this equalization thing, but i have no idea of what terms i need to have knowledge of, please, can somebody point me to a link in which i might find explanations and information for beginners like me so i can start from somewhere (lets say that i know nothing about it), THANKS A LOT anything would be of such a great importance to me.
that was really nice...cool chords...neat equalization, i could hear some space opening up for other instruments and vocals. Please post more stuff on equalizing

It would help if you stopped speaking while you were demonstrating an effect - your voice dominates and the actual technique you are demonstrating takes a back seat.
One thing, you said that in the window that gives you visual representation of the equalizer curve the number to the left of the horizontal bar is 20hz mine says 39 hz should I just ignore that and remember that position as 20hz?
The range of normal human hearing is from around 20Hz to 20kHz. Your 39Hz is just about 1 octave higher is all. It just doesn't show that 1 lower octave. :)
The difference between high and low shelf eq's isn't what frequency they're at, you could have a high shelf down in the bass region, it would still be a high shelf.
You sound like Chris Martin. Totally.

Upgrade 3 if you have it, its certainly worth it.
