  • ''...according to the Bible'', ''...according to the Bible'', ''...according to the Bible'', ''...according to the Bible''...

DAMN IT!! What about get your own opinion >_>

  • Why do people think we can't be good or moral without god to tell us how? I'm an atheist. Its just common sense. I feel a strong sense of morality. I want to treat others the same way I want to be treated. I'm not 5 years old. Why do I need someone to tell me this?

  • I always feel very lucky to have been born in Canada instead of the US. As an atheist, its definitely easier to live here than it would be there. From what I've heard, you almost have to go into hiding if you're an atheist in America.

  • sam harris woot woot

  • I think a better answer to christians who ask you how you can be good without their imaginary friend is 'I don't have to justify myself to you motherfucker.'

I mean seriously, who the fuck do they think they are? It's not like they are asking a question, they just want to berate you for not being like them and accepting their lies.

  • @TheSkunkCat

Morality is in the end just a matter of opinion anyway. By my standards most people, including a huge number of atheists are deeply immoral (And religious people nearly ALWAYS are even more so (with the exception of maybe Jains and types like that.)

People don't AGREE about morality, that's why we made laws. To keep a stable society in spite of that.

  • I'm so glad that the narrator/host was pretty much neutral the whole time, despite believing in a god.

  • YES! Atheism is rising. We are living in an important part of time.

  • We learn about the "Golden Rule", from ancient hinduism, which pre-dates christianity:D

  • First Charles Darwin, then Carl Saga, then Richard Dawkins, now this guy, ahh yeaa.

  • The 'golden rule' didn't come from the bible, or at least not initially. It was Confucius who said it centuries before the bible was written.

  • "so no God-ism is foolish, according to the bible"

    ....Is a response even neccesary?

  • Two white men go into a bar. They see a black man. They call him racial slurs. They then jump him in the parking lot and kill him. The next day they go to Church and praise God for their morality.

  • @UltraComboer That sounds very out-dated. A better story would've involved muslims and a "Witch", or Christians and an abortion doctor.

  • Atheist here, this is total bullshit! these people are doing the same thing as the christians! They are brainwashing the kids. Let these kids make their own decisions about religion. Educate them expose them to all religions and let them make their choices!

  • @larsonb33

So to be a neo-nazi is ok? Because I have the choice

  • @larsonb33 ... that is impossible....

30,000 sects of christianity, 9 major Islamic Sects, Buddhism, Hinduism, The Jewish Faith, Aboriginal religions, First Nations religions and the hundreds of African religions.

  • No god is Foolish according to the bible...

Believing in God is madness according to Psychology...

1 Book written 2000 years ago VS 2000+ years of research and evolution...

  • The universe, from a program I watched, is 13.6 billion years-old. Not 10,000 years-old. Religious fuck-twits.

  • ugh i cannot listen to these dummies any longer!

  • "the bible is not to be taken literally"

"the bible says that the fool has said in his heart that there is no god"

oh so THATS supposed to be taken literally.

  • @tweet432432 Derp..

  • Maybe the specific belief in God is not an intuitive thing, but it seems that the human soul is. The only problem I have with people claiming they can be good without theology is that they then deny their basic human tendencies to want to lie, cheat, and steal. Really propagating atheism degrades general human worth. Exactly why secularists say that abortion (destroying of human beings) is in no conflict where spirituals generally hold human life in higher regards. Define human being for me.

  • I was quite impressed by the intelligence of the atheist kids. Critical thinking is consistent with intelligence.

  • I disagree with you duck-knuckle, I can criticize your ideas all I want, but it doesn't make me any smarter. Intelligence is a hypothetical construct buddy, it's something we make up to explain certain tendencies. Maybe these kids lack the "intelligence" of theological/spiritual intelligence. Think about it, even from an evolutionary perspective, spirituality as a social adhesive was more adaptive than not. Believing in God makes you smarter as much as not believing does...it's all arbitrary.

  • This report makes me ashamed to live in the "enlightened" west. Basicly, this looks like a report that the station was forced to do, and decided to e as passive agrassive as possible.

  • Listening to those atheist kids talk was really... cool. :)

  • no I mean he dresses like a pimp, and i guess hes also a condescending douche.

  • "53 % of americans believe the universe is 6000 years old."

    That is so scary.

  • "No God-ism is foolish"??? What the fuck is that supposed to mean?

    I assume he means Atheism!

  • Well, ofcource. Most of the "Christian" camps are just normal fun summer camps with lost of fun outdoors activeties.

If you mean that they look like the eponymous "Jesus camp" then I think you are way off.

  • what i meant to say is, they are closed environments where the same opinions are expressed and the kids don't seem to adopt a bit blindly the stance of the elders.

i also think it's a bit weird gathering people on accounts of what they believe about a possible deity.

  • 2:48

The Devil, Satan, Baal Zebûb 'Lord of Flies' as a fly lands on Toms hat and whispers to him, "I am your lord god, say to this reporter, 'The Fool has said in his heart there is no god'."

See? That's proof right there that the Devil is real and so God must be real too.

Ahh I"m just F'ing with ya. That fly just means Tom needs to wash his white hat even whiter cause clearly it's got a bit of bullshit on it.

  • The opposition to stem cell research on christian grounds is fucking retarded...

"Oh, you can't create human life just to destroy it!"

Yeah? I guess you're opposed to EASTER as well, right? Dumbasses...

"Most of us are given our belief in god as a birthright... it's passed on from generation to generation..."

Yeah, like when parents pass on Down Syndrome or Cystic Fibrosis. Thankfully there are treatments and cures for Religious Disorder.

  • Look at the starving children, baran desserts, deasese, and the suffering of others. Who says there is no God?

  • the host is such a pimp

  • Iv already seen this vcideo before. But anyway, the quote died while talking to a imaginary friend ALWAYS makes me laugh. Its fuckin hilarious!!!!!!

  • 5 ;32 = It's still pushing ...Gggr!

  • Blood sucking leeches are proof there is a God!

And he is a sick, sadistic bastard.

  • I assume this is older, from the bush era?

  • somebody said it was from last year, which would be the bush year.

  • From a text used by mental health pros;

The prognosis for leaving a delusional disorder is largely related to the level of conviction in the delusion and the openness the person has in allowing information that contradicts the delusion.

Many folks who follow the herd of fellow delusionals, brainwashed by clergy, parents, culture, are afraid to question the stance out of fear of damnation. Add to that, the inability to decompartmentalize their thoughts and allow reason to seep in. Sad stuff.

  • Actually the fictional jesus character found in the bible is not the first to proclaim the "golden rule". An example: every culture has learned without the help of an imaginary god character; Confucius golden rule: "never impose on others what you would not choose for yourself" (ca. 551-479 BC) which as you can see by the date was stolen/plagiarized by many religions and/or "gods" hundreds of years later. ;O)

    Katalyzt

  • and yet confucisu golden rule is better

  • Sky daddy worship is a delusional stance and should be treated as such. To actually think that this crazy notion of a 'being' who resides 'up there' can know, see, do everything and hear all these billions of worshippers/insane people while they pray, is simply delusional behaviour. The mental health professions are waiting to treat this disorder just as soon as society asks them. It fits the definition quite nicely and should be considered a disorder of the mind by professionals.

  • Right, and had religion not taken over the better half of the world population, and made such nonsense commonplace, mental health professionals would probably have classified religion as a theory of mind disorder, or some derivative of schizophrenia much in the same way homosexuality was considered a mental disorder.

  • Its guaranteed that would be the case because similar people are already clasified that way.

At this point in psycology if you speak to yourself, to imaginary beings, claiming things that sound unreal and it affects your life in a counter-productive way, if it takes over, you can be diagnosed and hospitalised.

But of course right now thats only for people that dont call their imaginary being an established theistic god or spirit.

  • if something is asserted without evidence can be dismissed without evidence.

  • exactly right, which is one of a few reasons why I feel 100% confident there is no god of any kind.

Now if some intelligence shows me that they can create a planet in our solar system right before my eyes, I will even given him a few months, but I should be able to see evidence right away of some grains coming together.

Until I see evidence, why should I give it any weight.

Why should I also be wrong to not give weight to something simply because somebody said its true.

  • I love the guy in the first few seconds " Just look at this, sun shine, blue sky palm trees and the shimmering ocean, who says there is no god" so your evidence for a god is that? So the moon, rainy days, dead trees, and a murky lake is proof there is no god right? I don't think he thought that through very well.
