Antivirus can be bought for £20 for 2 years and also i have had 4 pcs and none of them have had a virus so clearly the user downloads crap to get viruses. I do not download a ton of crap onto my pcs. Also, Dashboard : It's called windows gadgets and they stay there you dont need to call them up. I think that PCs are better and that the ONLY thing nice about macs is that they look better than £200 PC pieces of crap. If you invest half as much money in a PC as a Mac, you'd get the same specs.

what I like about pc is that it has a much wider library of games, and how upgradable it's hardware is. if I need/want a bigger hard drive, I just buy one and install it. also you get much better hardware for an even cheaper price.

Problem is driver control for macs is hugely locked down and causes problems with bootcamp. Many games refuse to run and many games dont work as well as their equivelant counter parts.
For that matter, I can virtual box OSX better than mac can bootcamp windows, which mac doesn't let people even do.
Counter-Strike and all adobe software is available on Macs. Your arguement is invalid.

@ColdWarSongProject Acer and Toshiba are shitty companies for pc, i been through one if each and they were both 500$, and broke dell is decent hp is fine but the best has got to be compaq. @TopZnotch I didn't have any viruses on my PC since I bought it, because i am a reasonable user. Maybe if you weren't you'd need an expensive anti-virus tool or a MAC.
Also it has yet to be proven that MACs are faster than PCs. I had to use MAC at school and they needed about 2 minutes to start up and log on; my Vista System also needs 2 minutes to fully launch everything.
I have (only) the word from a music technician but he says neither one is particularily better than the other.

The thing I hate about a Mac at least with Lion is you can't double click the title bar to switch from full screen to scaled like you can with Windows and Ubuntu Linux and it costs 4 times as much as a PC Also Apple does not provide support for hardware so you have to hope the manufacture provides support. My Minolta Magi Color 22300 DL is not supported by Lion but is supported in Ubuntu Linux by the Ubuntu community and it's a free Operating System.

Antivirus can be bought for £20 for 2 years and also i have had 4 pcs and none of them have had a virus so clearly the user downloads crap to get viruses. I do not download a ton of crap onto my pcs. Also, Dashboard : It's called windows gadgets and they stay there you dont need to call them up. I think that PCs are better and that the ONLY thing nice about macs is that they look better than £200 PC pieces of crap. If you invest half as much money in a PC as a Mac, you'd get the same specs.

what I like about pc is that it has a much wider library of games, and how upgradable it's hardware is. if I need/want a bigger hard drive, I just buy one and install it. also you get much better hardware for an even cheaper price.
but, I think that the mac OS is much smoother, quicker and prettier than windows. as well as this I could buy the latest mac OS for £20, or so, and use it on as many macs as I want.

Problem is driver control for macs is hugely locked down and causes problems with bootcamp. Many games refuse to run and many games dont work as well as their equivelant counter parts.
For that matter, I can virtual box OSX better than mac can bootcamp windows, which mac doesn't let people even do.

Today out of curiosity I took a look at the Mac Mini (Cheepest Mac avalible) the only way it had even semi decent tech specs was when it was priced at nearly $1000! @TopZnotch I didn't have any viruses on my PC since I bought it, because i am a reasonable user. Maybe if you weren't you'd need an expensive anti-virus tool or a MAC.
Also it has yet to be proven that MACs are faster than PCs. I had to use MAC at school and they needed about 2 minutes to start up and log on; my Vista System also needs 2 minutes to fully launch everything.
I have (only) the word from a music technician but he says neither one is particularily better than the other.

CNET has shown that while OSX may hold a slight......*slight* speed advantage in desktop multitasking, it absolutely fails at heavy computational workloads like visual effects rendering, gaming and benchmarking. I can do that on a Hackintosh custom gaming rig for half the price and still have enough left over to upgrade it to blow the Mac out of the water and into the trash can.

The thing I hate about a Mac at least with Lion is you can't double click the title bar to switch from full screen to scaled like you can with Windows and Ubuntu Linux and it costs 4 times as much as a PC Also Apple does not provide support for hardware so you have to hope the manufacture provides support. My Minolta Magi Color 22300 DL is not supported by Lion but is supported in Ubuntu Linux by the Ubuntu community and it's a free Operating System.
