Also... I uploaded an animation peice... i'm missing the first 2 second of it. It is a very vital and tedious 2 first seconds that is missing, and the whole thing no longer makes sense.

yup but it works for me now, ever since around 1 month ago. yeah like right after I posted the comment it worked, don't know why it didn't work, maybe youtube was under maintenence when I tried to do it?

I think you have to activate it using a program called DVD and video... and then do the audio by going "help and support", typing microphone and following the links.

go to edit channel click personal profile and pick an image from your computer. it may take a couple of minutes to a couple of hours to show up

how come m8 when i upload vid from a sony camcorder using quick capture theres never no sound bcus but the vid uploads but the way im doing it now is to record a vid on sony Cam and using windows movie maker to make a file of it then upload the vid the normall way ..so what im getting at is i want to bypass the movie maker to save time as its very time comsuming doing it this way
