This is a great song; she has performed it live many times, for instance 'Live and Well,' Dollywood recorded concerts on dvd; also as far back in 80st 'Dolly in London', love that version as it's just her and banjo and backing singers lightly in parts, its on video tape. She also performed it during 97/98 tour. She did a great live CD 'Heart Songs,' and it's on that also, but also many other places. She explained once that in fact Apple Jack wasn't just one character, but several incl an uncle.
