i don't understand how he managed to crash into that car, did he lock the rear tire so the bike started to slide or was he looking away from road and didn't see the parked car? or did he come in to fast or....*sigh* what happend?

I've been in a similar situation as you where I was on a group ride, went around a slow corner and noticed in my mirror that last person in the pack who was behind me never came around the corner. When I saw that he had crashed I parked my bike like you did and ran to see if they were ok, such a freaky uneasy feeling when you first see them there, almost seems unreal.

Not to nit pick the accident but the sun was almost setting and you guys were totally in the shade, the whole street is in the shade in the vid so I don't understand how the sun was a factor in the accident. The only sun I see is relatively high on the buildings on the opposite side of the street you are riding on. Are you sure he didn't just lose his mind and attack the car? Feel better WildBill!

@transdetendal Thanks, The sun was right in his eyes then when it was gone, the car was in front of him, he hit a pot hole and couldn't turn the bike out of the way.
@theNLridersWife how the hell was there sun in his eyes..it was COMPLETELY shaded there..every building was equal to horizion hieght in perspective of where your eye sight line was and the sun was coming fromt he right rear....i saw brake lights..but shit man...admit it was like day dreaming or a pothole..not the sun that was behind the riders..and blocked by buildings. glad he is ok and walked away. but sometimes..you have to admit defeat.
@evilbunny13 Ya, the drift didn't really do a good job of showing the sun, but if you watch the slo-mo part after I pass him after the crash, you'll see the sun right on the horizon between the buildings. Yes, he was sight seeing and in a happy mood, but it really did happen the way I said. I was right behind him and saw the sun. He also hit a pothole which prevented him from being able to turn away from the car in time.

@criticsview He wasn't able to still ride with us, as the song says "The end is where we begin", I started my video with the end of our riding time together and reflected on the riding we did get to do that day. His bike was destroyed and his injuries won't allow him to ride for a while. And thanks for the nice comment.
