  • oh my god this guy is fucking insane what balls he has indeed! i would shit!

  • my biggest fear is duckdiving a big wave and bumping into a shark

  • Yes,Balls Of Steal!...Man ....speechless..

  • Were bit*

  • A GSW is a magnificent animal and as you can see from this video also can be very docile and curious. How many people wear bite by domestic dogs last year? These sharks really aren't interested in eatung humans, it's only when we present ourselves as one of their natural prey that they react

  • everytime i go under the water i can hear that damn shark playing the cello

  • After watching the first 10 seconds, I scrolled down to try to find comments like "I want the last minute of my life back" - After seeing the entire video, I am saying "Oh FU@% THAT!"

    Balls of steel.

  • wow. to think i go in the waters a couple of miles from there :P

  • Balls of triple roughened titanium reinforced with tempered steel casings.

  • He has some serious balls . x)

  • i think i saw that same exact shark today!! i dove under water to get a better look.

  • What I don't get is how that board supported him with the weight of those huge balls he has.

  • yeh i swim out to great whites to, ask them how there doing.......hungry?

  • OMG! I scared just watching it! They can destroy the board easy! and I have seen videos where a shark attacks boats!

  • Wow, that was cool

  • Chuck Patterson knew...I was at San-O that day when he set out on his paddle board to film them. Since then I've had a hard time getting my butt in the water!

  • I was on the beach to that mans BALLS OF STEEL!!!

  • Duke Nukem would be impressed by you BALLS OF STEEL!!

  • How did you stay on your board? Werent you unbalanced by your balls of steel?

  • He's on a long board standing up and paddling...read the description box, folks. People do that all the time at the beach here in FL. Not that it makes it any more safe....he's got guts for sure.

  • It's the Dos Equi guy. I don't swim with sharks, sharks swim with me.

  • everyone asking why he didn't have a reaction is because this a camera that you attach to your bored so he didn't know it was there

  • @draggon2100 Wrong.. he knew they were there, he was out paddle surfing when he and others spotted the sharks. He went home, got his camera, attached it to the end of his paddle, then went out intentionally to get this footage. P.S. It's "board" not "bored".

  • @whanethewhip pwned

  • Not impressed. Be a man, go punch it in the nose.

  • your a brave man. i would be trying to get to shore as fast as i could. UVE GOT GUTS MY FRIEND.

  • this guy has balls of steel

  • i surf there .... but dont get freaked out

  • dude you are crazy, but very good footage, ty.

  • if thats reall, thats some crazy shiz..I used to surft trestles as a teenager and to see that out there.........YIKES..

  • caralho grande a criança hein!!!!

  • holy shit i would hav just swam towards it to save the time it would hav took to swim away and die so i can see my turtle swimmy :)

  • I fucking live there

  • @Taco1141 same, makes you think twice before paddling out.

  • good shit you crazy mother effer lol

  • The sharks are obviosuly animated.DUHHH!!

  • Nothing like being a sitting duck....

How were you filming this while you were paddling?

  • I was bitten by a great white 2 months ago. Im typing with my yoes right now

  • sharks are fucking beautiful, i still would of pooped myself though

  • @jimmyPain2121

    lol!!

  • This dudes a Beast. BALLS OF STEEL!!!

  • the 2 people that disliked it just got eaten by sharks

  • YOU GOT SOME BALLZZZZZ!!!

  • DUDE!! THAT WAS FUCKING AWESOME!!! IM PLANNING A CAMPING TRIP THERE... HAVING SECOND THOUGHTS ABOUT GOING IN THE WATER!! FOR REAL!!

  • Just here today and watched the video after but scared as he'll for next time I paddle out

  • it does sound like there are other people there though, maybe on a boat, this guys is on a SUP board. and yes it is dangerous and not something that should be attempoted, but the shark didnt attack because this guy did pose any threat to the shark therefore remaining just observant

  • its observing him to figure out what the hell he is, but... it isn't interested. You know, come to think of it... there have been whites that have taken chunks out of boats. This guy could had been killed within less of a minute of it was interested. Stupid I am sorry...

  • this guy is not scared because he knows that if he doesnt provoke the shark, he probably wont get attacked. the shark is just curious as to what is in the water. sharks are not man eaters, they hate the taste of humans, occasionally theyll bite but its just out of curiosity. i surf every morning and am not afraid of sharks. this guy does have balls the size of coconuts, but he did this safely and smartly.

  • Looks like someone DID crap themselves. It appears to be floating on the water. lol

  • hes in a little canoe or w.e and hes not even scared that shark could bite that in two, u got balls lol

  • STOP at 1:28. you can see the two giant nuclear nipple reactors.

  • nood how old are you

  • BRILLIANT LOL!!!

  • Thats crazy! That shark is bigger than that kayak! Theres one thing about having balls but this is pure crazyness if you ask me....

  • This guy has the biggest balls in the world.

  • i live by this beach i went surfing the day they found the shark there gone now

  • Either you are the bravest man alive, possessing some intimate knowledge of these dangerous creatures the rest of us are blind too, or you are the luckiest and most foolish guy alive. Amazing and scary.

  • Holy crap!!!!!!!!!

  • holy

  • the reason why this guy not screaming or panicking is because he works at the Universal studious jaws attraction...

  • I'd be shitting my self

  • how do you fucking handle that?! like WOW. I'd be crying.

  • So THAT'S why Onofre doesn't have a Dog Beach...

  • !!!!!!!!!!!! is this guy nuts .

  • thats scary the way that fish was turning and stoping like that means it was really interested,

  • They should have a week dedicated to kayakers vs sharks lol

  • the end fuckin scared me i almosted peed myself. ***SHIVERS***

  • holy crap that is SCARY!!!

  • lol id be like come to daddy id cut my arm and poor it in the water dive in and ride the beautiful anime like that guy in deep blue see lol ;)

  • If he had of screamed he would have died :S LOL

  • it must be hard to kayak with balls of STEEL...

  • this guy obviously doesn't give a fuck about anything.

  • I'm surprised Chuck is the only one to get footage of these sharks. Evidently they've been out there for years. Considering all the fuckers who are out surfing old mans everyday it's pretty amazing there hasn't been an attack.

  • why isnt this guy screaming???!!!!!!

  • @ChickaRenats Because the sharks didn't attack, the just swam around the boat checking it out, and sharks don't like the taste human blood or human flesh.

  • @vinceschannel Mate he ain't in the safety of a boat that's a god damn 1 man canoe. Sharks mistake them for the bellies of seals so this guy is rock solid

  • @ChickaRenats Because that would totally help

  • @ChickaRenats You can die from toasters than you can from sharks. They wont attack unless provoked. Yeah they're scary but If you know sharks they wont really harm you.

  • I would be so scared that i'd poop myself!

  • omfg

  • shit that's scary oO

  • Surfed Just North of that this evening at Old Mans. Got out because it got too dark. Glad I didn't see any! Had this video in my head a few times.

  • Holy shit it was close at 1:04!!!

  • Bankrobber - RocknRolla

  • i read the disription

  • i would be as scared as hell

  • Nice vid.

Yeah, if you aren't a leftover, or a seal, they pretty much leave you alone.

I've come nose to nose with blue sharks, and they just look you over and split.

If you harass them, they can bite out of revenge, but usually just split.

Same with hammerheads, they just cruse looking for what they like to eat, and humans aren't that good, that's why you see bites, and not consumption. If you look like a seal, be ready to get bit tho. Keep ankles crossed when surfin. Worx.

  • @JRBeaman what does keeping ankles crossed do?

  • @smach10 When you are laying on your board, your silhouette looks like a seal, the favorite munchies for sharks. With your ankles crossed, they don't see what looks like back feet, so they will not take a taste test on ya.

  • @psukimmek I work in the Education Department @ the Aquarium of the Pacific. There are two excepted theories behind that.

    1) Sharks absolutely avoid Dolphins and other Pinnipeds because they have been known to hostile toward sharks.

    2) Sharks will sometimes be not far behind Dolphins to pick up any leftovers they leave behind.

In my opinion, the best time to be in the water is when you see a dolphin. I have trouble believing that a dolphin can leave a "mess" when eating a 7 inch sardine. But

  • Well I watched this video today on my way down to uppers and almost didn't go in the water. Thanks the awesome video!

  • they won't hurt you unless you are near seal/ sea lion habitat

  • @flotch93 ..tell that to the lads that were taken at the same time by 2 whites a few years ago near adelaide, sa....and the families of the people whove been taken just about every year off the same coast... no seals anywhere near the place.

  • @rcaddict72 Yeah, no food makes a shark extra hungry, and a surfer in a black wet suit looks mighty tasty. They don't particularly like human, but when you got the hungries....

  • That guy must have balls of steel.

  • ok that killed it...i live in HB, no beach, going to the driving range

  • i was surfing there yesterday! fuck that

  • if you see a shark, its not gonna attack you. its when you dont see it....

  • @Skateology01 ..yet another BS pseudo theory.

  • damn this guy must have his balls the size of a basketball. lol

  • Wow. I love how the person filming doesn't say a word.

  • I just cancelled my snorkling trip to La Jolla. i love sharks, but they scare the hell outta me!! After watching Shark Week all week and now this? HELL NO!!!

  • crowd control...see you there in the am

  • i'd shit in my pants ;)

  • Holy shit.

  • Those must be the babies, because Mama is around 12 ft long; they're a family of three. That's why I don't surf Trails!

  • I love how he doesn't say a single word the whole time....

I'd be out there crapping my pants and making up new swear words.

  • FUCK THAT NOISE. I almost shit my pants watching this stupid video on youtube...I can't imagine being in the water with them...especially 2 of them...especially sooo close.

  • actually, looks like there's only one in this video. But still...terrifying.

  • gnarly

  • I've been surfing at Sano for 30 years and am still alive to type this.

Living in fear makes you idle.

  • Amazing footage.

  • 1:15 for the win!

  • Holy shit! U r one fucking brave soul!

  • okay, props to you chuck. if i were that close to a great white shark i would freak and fall off my board. i wouldn`t think to take a video...

is it just me, or does it look like the shark takes off in the direction of the beach?...

  • Save the seals so the people Get eaten, La Jolla is where they are going to feed.

  • We were swimming at Zuma today. I am SO glad I saw this video AFTERWARD. Well done Chuck, calm and steady.

  • you know what the craxy thing is!?!?! that same day we were at the beach and we saw "dolfins" but ovbiously they were not dolfins aha!

  • Love how no one reads the description box.

  • I would CRY if I was that close to a shark

  • Oh my gosh, that is completely terrifying. I'm assuming they left you intact, you lucky prey, you.

  • Last time I surfed at San O, we saw a pod of 5 dolphins just as close. All we saw at first were fins, so we pulled our legs up and kneeled on our boards. Later though they stuck their heads up and we could see they were just dolphins. We still kept out legs up though, case where theres prey, there's predators... that and they've still got teeth lol...freaked us out. This surfer's got some cahone's.

  • @pseudololo

I'm no scientist, and I might be wrong, but I was once told that sharks and dolphins avoid each other. So, if you have dolphins in the water, you won't likely have sharks. (I could be wrong though... I'd look it up.)

  • @psukimmiek ..look it up. not true. theyve been spotted feeding together, within feet of each other, and avoiding each other completely.

  • where you on a surfboard filming that??

  • So much for surfin ol'Man's this weekend! Wonder if the yaker is wearing brown shorts now?

  • Gnarly.Thats exactly why I stay on the water and not in it!
