  • They should attempt a subscription-free online Guild Wars/Elder Scrolls cross-over, it would either be a complete disaster or fucking fantastic

  • This sounds a lot like Oblivion, well actually vice versa ..Wait!? This song IS IN Oblivion!!

  • @Skabur123 It's the same composer, Jeremy Soule

  • Miss the good old pre-searing days :) just runnin around exploring and figuring out the game for the first time.. Ah so fun thanks for upload

  • Dam fuck this song remind me oblivion. When i walk on the road at the search of a cave were I didn't kill every beast, phantom or human in. Great memories. Hope GW2 will get better song. Song tath can make me dream awaken.

  • @miytar Oblivion's music was also written by Soule. (GW came first, though)

  • Pre searing ascalon is definitely the eye of the storm indeed. Perfect sanctuary from all the craziness of the real world.

  • oh, beautiful...

  • some people remember pokemon theme or action man advertisements from their infancy, i remember this <3

  • Oh this soundtrack brings back so many fond memories of being a nooblet all those years ago. Hunting down bears. Running away from hordes of bears. Wondering how big the map really was. Discovering Fort Ranik. *Sigh* I believe this is my favorite soundtrack. Thanks for sharing it.

  • Why oh why can't this song just turn up outside of Pre-Searing.

Somewhere in the Eye of The North locations.

    Kryta.

    Anywhere!

  • Does anyone know of the instruments in this?

Is the first part the flute?

  • @fishfoodlad it sounds mostly like flutes, violins, and a harp to me

  • love this song. real fantasy music

  • This song reminds me alot of oblivion

  • @rsdude4ever It's by the same composer who did oblivion.

  • God, it's been some time already, when i was sitting in pre ascalon and listening to this song. Now when i hear it i start to cry and want to bring those times back...

  • @clintony3000 Agreed 110%

  • Hey, just saying to you who thought it is the same track as in Oblivion. Well, it isnt. They sound very much like eachother I know, but they aint same :) All music from Guild Wars and Oblivion is awesome.

  • Love this music. just like a dream

  • @slipstyle

I think all of Elder Scrolls game music was composed by Jeremy Soule, the same person who does the Guild Wars music. He also does various other music for movies and games like Harry Potter and Dungeon Siege.

  • @HappyFoxIsHappy o woah really? I don't even play guild wars and I was wondering that when stumbling upon its music haha. I can't wait for Guild Wars 2, I hope the music gives off the same vibe

  • i love this song, so peacefull and soothing i can listen to it for ever..

  • I love this song, man, thank you

  • Guild wars is a perfect compeater to WoW

  • @CaptainViral84 Most games are great compared with WoW. It is the same as comparing the taste of strawberries and the taste of shit^^

  • Jeremy Soule is a beautiful composer.

  • omg...this is craxy..how can i feel this way? its mad o.o i just feel my life passing through me while im listening to this music...its just amazing

  • Sounds alot like one of the oblivion indoors songs, most likely because its the same composer, one of the best ambient pieces for any video game, let alone of of guild wars' stature

  • so much nostalgia

  • memories... i remember the first time i played gw2. best buy was sold out of halo combat evolved for pc so i picked up guild wars. little did i know i would fall in love with the game and play it for 3 years...

I WILL NOT SLEEP THE DAY BEFORE GW2 COMES OUT LOL

  • The eye of the storm score sounds like a score from oblivion.

  • I feel huge nostalgia....I wanna cry and I would do anything for getting back in pre unknowing of the guild wars future...Its so sad...

  • @MrDampSvamp Dude, you just nailed it, i feel the exact same way...

  • Yea

  • guild wars is like the most nostalgic game ever

  • i dont play guild wars anymore but everytime i listen to this music i remember all the good times from guild wars how i was playing with friends it was so fun in the beginning but then it gets just kind of boring but i still want to play from time to time because of the music mainly

  • same!

  • This brings back memories of the GW days I really loved this theme and the exporing with this and me being a noob.

it brings tears to my eyes thinking about it.

  • i tried GW but didn't like it, but the music of GW is still amazing, if you're lying on your bed closing your eyes and start to dream.

  • @Baxiz and that is why i have the CD in my CD player and the remote next to my bed. wake up ,turn on CD player, slowly wake up... yup yup

  • this music give me good memories xD.

Though i still play GW sometimes.

  • I love this music. I have heard it in a 3dchat. The owners of the world has got a fantasy world. ^^

I've done nearly evreything there is to do on it now, and I REALLY WANT GW2!

  • eye of the storm? the mountain place in pre-searing Ascalon where you learned your first spells as an elementalist... oh, oh my god, my 1st beautiful elementalist with red hair- throwing fire at those monsters, and me going woooah, love on 1st sight... i think nostalgia's gonna kick me right in the balls... im gonna go cry now, i think... phew... :(

Thank You for posting this, mate.

  • @str4jo

    Go play again!

  • @str4jo i hear ya QQ

  • Such a nice piece of music to just ave on in the background when reading or anything

the game was good but I got bored after the searing

  • link doesn't work...

  • The absolutely best of the songs in Guild wars. The song itself makes it worth starting a new charachter and just go around in Ascalon listening to it. So many memories....

  • I haven't heart it for 3 years! All this time I was listening to my music on Winamp ^^ I feel like noob now... ^^

  • is it just me or this song is the ONLY song that is played during Presear beside the dungeon song?

  • no,there's a couple others,but they all sound similar.

  • ah yes, the wonderful times of pre-searing... questing till like, what, level 7 or 8?

this makes me want to start playing again!

  • so many memories

  • OH SHUT UP!

The soundtrack isn't available everywhere you look.

Youtube can be used for music, just downsize the internet or do something else and let this great song play in the background.

I download all my music from Youtube, just download the flv and you can extract the sound from the vid.

    Shut Up and enjoy this!

  • actually I use a program to download music from youtube, it rips the music from the video... yeah it may be illegal, but I'm okay with that... I have a tutorial on how to use it and how to download.

  • That's exactly what I do.

DL vid using the flv dler firefox plug-in.

    Rip sound using flv extracter.

    enjoy XD

  • yeah, if the cops dont care about me hackin emails ill be damned if i get done for illegal downloads

  • Ummm. How long have you played Guild Wars for? And actually, it IS "eye of the storm". Eye of the Storm is the name for a track played in pre-searing in the prophecies campaign. Eye of the North is an expansion pack.

  • LOL @ CriqCriq.

  • @CriqCriq ha ha u jackass.

  • Hmm, sorry. I dont remember playing any game called Guide Wars. I thought I was watching a video on Guild Wars. Oops, I must have woke up on the wrong side of bed!

  • I wuv this song

  • I myself can't tell whether this is a mean spirited comment, or one that is used to help. Please use correct english to get your point across. Also, I'm pretty sure he just said soundtrack and video takes away from the quality of the sound, and video greatly increases the size. So the size(as in mb gb kb size of the movie), the better the audio quality. (from what I understand)

  • lol i hit reply to that other comment, Im reffering to starcrazy

  • This is that song from the pre-searing right?

  • Yes.

  • I always appreciate it when people take the time to watch, and comment. Thank you. But please do us all a favor and further your studies in the English language and ways to use it grammatically correct.

  • Yes i agree! ^.^

  • Very nice.

  • the doesn't work. i download it and the mp3 file doesn't work...

  • DUDE! YOU DONT DOWNLOAD MUSIC!

BUY THE SOUNDTRACK AND IF YOU WERE CLEVER ENOUGH YOU BOUGHT THE Guild Wars Prophecies 06 edition 'cause there you get your little great soundtrack!

  • dumbshit its not on itunes

  • I don't understand what you're saying. Or even whether you're asking me something or saying something.

  • @chrish162 he is saying don't put the link to download it... he doesn't believe in people downloading the sound track and guild wars not receiving the money from the download. I bought the 06 edition and got the soundtrack, it was well worth it. As far as his opinion of free downloading goes, if people wanted to support GW they would pay, if they don't care enough they won't, its not one man's decision.

  • Wut!? You can easily download music if you PAY FOR IT... I did that with the Soundtrack for Dungeon Siege 2...

By Jeremy Soule, yes. On "Directsong.c0m"...

  • Fantastic song, memories

  • Sounds a bit too much like the Oblivion Soundtrack, but thanks for uploading. Jeremy Soule is the king.

  • yeah but its jeremy soules style :P

  • No bad feelings mate, just thought the melody was a bit too similar. It's still great.
