If you want a .338 Lapua Mag build a custom one. It will cost less or the same as a factory one but built to your likings and generally much more accurate.
nice nice rifle there :), i wonder if they will let me buy it and bring it to australia? Hmmmm imagine the cock sucking customs officers id have to deal with, u guys have layed bak laws in the states :(
well depends on what state i live in california and it sucks anus here ar-15s cant even have more than 10 rounds and the magazines must have tools to be removed
@MrDan747 I picked up a Nioa catalog from my local gun dealer & it's got the Barret 98B in it..so I guess it's legal here because it's a bolt action rifle.
The magazine that I read had a ten page article on this rifle.. They said Barrett made this as an 'Fuck you' to the CA laws that banned the .50 BMG.. Either way it's a great rifle.
It's not banned from CA and it's more of a hunting rifle now because Barrett stepped down to the .338 Lapua mag for this one, and it's a lot lighter than most barreet .50bmg rifles
This is not banned in California. No bolt actions are banned except for the .50bmg and larger (unless owned preban). Read the assault weapons law before posting FUD.
California changes its mind all the time. Read AW laws one day, the next they're completely different. This gun is banned in california due to its ability to fire a bullet. That's pretty much what our legislators are coming down to.
what state is this at ?

Banned in CA because of detachable magazine for one.

that only affects self loading rifles. this is a bolt action rifle.

I thought California bans guns by brand. All barretts are illegal. But thats just what I know, I could be wrong

I'd get one if it weren't banned in California
