  • Thank you Kaptainsteve

It is indeed an igenious design, have you actually built this oven? If so, do you have plans for it, that can be downloaded? And also have you posted this to Sketchup Community?

  • The Chimmney is completely in the wrong place!! how do you stop all the heat from going up the chimmney when firing up the oven? the chimmney should be near the front of the entrance, where you can fit the door inside of the chimmney to retain the heat.

You didn't look at the design very closely. It's double-walled. The heat and smoke leaves the oven in the front even though the chimney is in the back. It's a pretty ingenious design. You also don't need to use an insulating blanket/coating because the double-walled design serves this function as well. Excellent.

  • does that chimney design work well?

  • you didn't really zoom into the important parts.

i want to see what it looks like inside.

  • Hey in my house I have an old block flue that I want to tear out an old block flue I have which used to vent gas furnace and water heater and put a pizza oven in it's place. Most pizza ovens have a front chimney and yours is in the rear. That would work best for me. is there any disadvantage to a rear flue? Also what are the side compartments for? Insulation?

  • Very cool
