  • Simple tunes ... yet they have more feeling and soul then the music of today !

  • Notice the tapered base drum.

  • Gerry- Gerry we love you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • LIVE and awesome! Thanks for posting

  • Gerry Marsden was one of the hardest working - and most professional - musicians of that whole era. His head was screwed on right from the get-go.

  • @MelosAntropon - He was a good man!!!

  • Songs of my youth, I started one and 2 in a row.

  • the beatles beat the crap out of gerry. ;)

  • @loppa900 Wow..you are one heavy hard to impress dude. the Beatles beat the crap out of everyone back then. News Flash!!!! It's not a competition! You don't have to pick one band and make smart-ass remarks about all the others. It was over 40 years ago. Your opinion means shite!

  • @garymichael1950 gee. im sorry.

  • @loppa900 Well, that's better..Let's watch that in the future, Wanna go have a pint now?

  • @garymichael1950 Haha. *virtual pint* XD

  • @loppa900 Exactly...Maybe a few of the pints I had last night should have been virtual!!

  • @garymichael1950 Ahaha lol!!

  • brings back a lot of memories

  • This is always great music....! Thank you@

  • They do this song better than the Beatles do.

  • @mmmluvsae

That's because The Beatles did it half-assed. Thought the song was for pansies.

  • The crowd was probably told not to scream by the production manager because they wanted a "clean" recording...and anyone who did would be ejected...creating a "Buzz Kill" effect on the whole proceedings......

  • I LOVE this song :) The Beatles gave this song to them because it didn't look good for The Beatles, so Gerry and the Pacemakers took it. Anyway, the crowd does look a bit sad especially at 1:27 O.o

  • BTW, Gerry Marsden is singing into a Sennheiser MD-421 microphone. The man who designed that microphone, died just this past Monday, at the ripe old age of 98. RIP Mr. Sennheiser. Great mic, BTW.

  • @JeffMcNeal Nice call, that Mic has been an industry workhorse forever ... almost as ubiquitous as the Sure SM-58 etc

  • @CusterFlux Thanks. I know them well. Sat behind one for many years in broadcasting. Great dynamic mic.

  • @JeffMcNeal Nice fact.

  • Very nice quality on this vid, compared to the other identical one on Youtube with more hits. This is WAYYY better. And yes, what a crowd of absolute dullards. Ha ha ha.

  • wot a miserable crowd :(((

  • such reserved boys and girls :) ;)

  • Nice, exceptional quality video of Gerry & the Pacemakers!

  • fantastic live performance by Gerry Marsden & the boys - looks like it came from a U.K. show

  • wow, thismakes me happy, for 45 yrs, thanks, erik tielman, floridadadaa
