Falcon's Crest (Lloyd): When in red health and having the Material Blades equipped, hold A+B+Y.

Holy Judgement (Collette): After using both Judgement and Holy Song 50 times, it will occur randomly when you try to do those moves.

Indignation Judgement (Genis): Use Indignation during Over Limit.

Well they scrapped out Raine's Hi-Ougi at the very last minute. There's even a Voice Clip for it recorded on the disc. If you use a cheat device you can use it, but it doesn't do anything. There's no damage data or anything. It kinda... sucks that they left it out :/ The more Hi-Ougi's the better! XD

That was a beta move in the Japanese version too, I think. Either that or they were planning on adding that move exclusively for the English version like they did with Tales of the Abyss. But it didn't activate like a Hi Ougi like the real Sacred Shine, so it might have been just a regular tech.

Only three of them are even in the US GC version. Lloyd's, Colette's, and Genis'. Genis' can be used by casting Indignation 50 times and then casting it when he's in over-limit, Colette's is randomly used once you use both Holy Song and Judgment 50 times each, and Lloyd's can be done when you get his Eternal Swordsman Title, has his health in red and the material blade equipped (Press A, B, and X at the same time). That's all! ^^

I can't believe they gave Abyssion Hi Ougis too! He was already so hard, only a masochist would fight him.

In the english version (PS2 version is Japanese-only, so English was GC), the only hi-ougi's were Lloyd's move with the Eternal Sword, Colette's mash-up of Holy Light and Judgment, and Genis' mash-up of Indignation and Judgment.

I have that game. The level restrictions really do kill it for me, plus they REALLY screwed Regal's Hi-Ougi in it. His original one in this video is soooo much better. But you do get Lloyd, but not until the very end of chapter 7 and for 8. I hate Emil and even with the restrictions they have I can still own with Lloyd. It just takes a little longer is all.

no there isnt. but on your second playthrough in the grade menu on EX 2nd playthrough choose Increase Tension and you will get overlimit every 15-20 hits you dont block. so just like increase your defense with the herbs and stand their when there are alot of enemies. then overlimit. i get it alot and im colette

Actually, I've used Falcon's Crest multiple times in a battle. Used it twice against the Sword Dancer and 4 times against Mithos. I was also playing on Mania, so that might affect the number of uses.

I think that Garen Zesshuugeki translates to "Fang Connect Sever Attack" and Hien Messhojin is "Bloody Flame Destroy Burn Formation".

I personally would translate the names as Wilderness Rush (GZ) and Eternal Conflagration (HM) but that's just me. XD!

Lloyd's attack is called Falcon's Crest, although the Japanese name is "Tenshou Souhazan" which I believe translates to "Heaven Soar Blue Destructive Slash". Lloyd says Tenshou Souhazan during the Japanese attack, so my best guess is that Falcon's Crest came out to link in with his strongest (single-hit) Rising Falcon.

Actually that's not entirely correct. The American and European versions of the game don't have anything "changed" as such. We have all the same content as the Japanese version of the Gamecube game.

The bonus content, such as the extra Hi-Ougi's were released for the PS2 port of the game, which was released in Japan only.

Personally, I prefer playing Tales on the GC as I think that the pad's better so I don't really mind losing out. That said, it would have been cool but you can't have it all.

There's also 2 new CG cutscenes; when Colette first gets her wings, and when they use the Rheiards for the first time, and the Neiflhem (sp?) is 20 floors long, and some lesser bosses (like Magnius or Botta) get some Hi-Ougi, amonsgt other things.
