You're gonna find that when the economy is in this bad of shape (which is because we've reached a level of debt that businesses and people, mostly businesses are losing faith, not because of the debt itself), the smarter people leave, and because of socialism, but moreover because of a failing economy.
It's not really even socialism. We will still have a free-market society (which is capitalism). There will only be adjustments to our current system that allow more consumer spending rather than corporate saving. Capitalist supporters argue that when the guys on top save more they can spread it more on the bottom, but this isn't the case most of the time (see any big time CEO's salary and compare it to their workers earning minimum wage).

This guy know bull about taxes.. Fund for roads and bridges comes from the road tax, fuel tax etc.. not from income tax. By the way do you know income tax on labor (not on capital gain) is unconstitutional. Raising the tax for successful people who worked hard only is spreading the wealth. If you have to raise the tax for a particular segment raise tax for the lazy guys with low income...

I can guarantee you that some of the HARDEST working people in this country make the lowest salaries. Yeah thats a perfect solution man. They are employed by someone, so clearly they can't make it in the world. Not everyone can be a boss, even if your qualified to do so. Some people in unfortunate situations are underemployed, and some that come from a fortunate situation are over employed (Bush). If everyone is a boss how will we produce things? Who will tend the restaurants and shops? How will we build things? Who will join the army or police force?

It's not really even socialism. We will still have a free-market society (which is capitalism). There will only be adjustments to our current system that allow more consumer spending rather than corporate saving. Capitalist supporters argue that when the guys on top save more they can spread it more on the bottom, but this isn't the case most of the time (see any big time CEO's salary and compare it to their workers earning minimum wage).

By the way do you know income tax on labor (not on capital gain) is unconstitutional. Raising the tax for successful people who worked hard only is spreading the wealth. Yeah thats a perfect solution man. They are employed by someone, so clearly they can't make it in the world. Not everyone can be a boss, even if your qualified to do so. Some people in unfortunate situations are underemployed, and some that come from a fortunate situation are over employed (Bush). If everyone is a boss how will we produce things? Who will tend the restaurants and shops? How will we build things? Who will join the army or police force?

Are you seriously implying that we should make things harder on the people that already can't afford their bills because their jobs don't pay enough to cover them? Sure they could help themselves by seeking a higher paying job, but once the hole has been dug it's extremely hard to climb out of it.

He doesn't have a license, but he works for a plumbing corporation, and has been doing for years what plumbers do - I don't see how he isn't a plumber. Legally, he does not need a license to plumb. He doesn't own his own business (yet), but he has retained and discussed plans to buy the company his boss owns - this is not made up. All this by way of saying he is not "fake."

Again, I'll say that it doesn't matter if his boss was to sell the business; an informal discussion would make Joe's claims truth.

Look my husband is a plumber and has had to advance at stages first apprenticeship, then journeymanship and now after 40 years he is considered a master plumber. This guy Joe is a fake plumber. And as an employer I would have difficulties with some of the things he has said. The 250k thing, saying my business is for sale,ect. That kind of thing is bad for business. It's clear this guy has bullshited his way thru and that doesn't make for a good honest worker and that's what we stand for!

McCain is lying through his wooden teeth. He will not keep taxes low, there is NO WAY he can do that. Plus he is going to be taxing HEALTHCARE for the first time in American history. Does anyone understand that ? You will get a $5000 credit to your premiums but will be paying taxes on that. Think about it. Anyone who votes for that fool is saying they are happy with Bush.

Look at the mcCain/Palin rallys people. Where is the diversity. They are all homogenized and that is being kind. This country was built on diversity. Who do you think did most of the work during the building of the railroads for instance? Immigrant labor. Now at these rally's they are telling their crowds "you are the real americans". This is dividing the classes. That may be the way things are done and look in Alaska,but not in the rest of the country! Lets send Palin back to Alaska on Tuesday!

Yeah, I'm not an American and I know you guys had that whole McCarthy thing ( You like to give idiots power don't you?), but you really need to reclaim the word Socialism and use it in the correct context. State schools, govt funded roads and bailing out the banks and nationalizing the debt are all forms of socialism to a certain extent. Understand what the word/concept really means before you fear it.

It is comical! and the more this election goes on, the more i feel that this is all a big setup by some higher power (not God). I mean Sarah Palin? This republican campaign is ridiculous. I have to admit, i do have a man-crush on Obama, he is awesome! but this is starting to seem all too! easy. I grow more concerned with every McCain comment. i don't think he could do any worse if he tried.
Hopefully, all the support behind Obama won't turn around and bite us in the ass.

The entire Republican platform is based on banking on the collective stupidity of the American public.
McCain himself doesn't know what the hell he's talking about. That's he keeps talking himself into a corner.
I liked how he admitted that progressive taxation was "spreading the wealth", but that Obama's plan (which is progressive taxation) was a "far cry" from it.
