armored , artillery and even combat engineers you will need some ability to run long distances. we are all back up infantry and do dismounted assaults. im not going to say dont try, but at your local recruiting station you will have to disclose your asthma. i dont have asthma do i dont know what the medical staff will say to you
I cant believe they are driving un armourd vehicals
(I don't mean the LAVs)
I the roads there are in good shape for a poor country better than some of our roads, so at least some of the money the world is giving is going somewhere
i wana join the canadian millitary but i have light asthma... i am athletic and agile... i simply cant handle long distance running....... im wondering if they would still let me drive a lav or man a weapons platform or someshit....... i hope the CF arnt bitches
i dont wana join unless i got a combat possition.... i can move fast and fire weapons good.... i understand basic tactics and with training i would b alot better..... i could still drive a tank or man gun platforms.... i jus dont wana join pure foot infantry
I think it's called 'armoured soldier' in the recruiting materials. I kinda have an itch to go for Leopard MBT crew, but I don't think you really get a choice. I think you just enlist and they put you in whatever vehicle they need crews for.
@funstuff2006 Yep, that's what the website says, the recruitment office set me straight on that though, 'Armoured Crewman' is the correct term. I'm hoping to get in, Ijust got the ball rolling in the recruitment process last week. There were still 59 openings when my application was processed :)
its a mix of coyotes and LAV's, at 0:45 u can tell its a LAV because it has 1 dor in the back, the coyote has 2 that swing outward and LAV look more bulkier and boxier than coyotes which gave it away too that that was a LAV.
they are definitely coyotes, but the inside view of the driver is in a bison. coyote drivers dont have a regular ci like that, plus thats where coyote gauges are mounted
good try, but i think its time for you to look up what a LAV III is. There are similar in appearance but are different vehicles. The coyotes are used for reconnaissance where as a LAV III is our primary mechanized infantry machine. The LAV III is built by the same company (General Dynamics) and was based on the MOWAG Piranha III (coyote), so you weren't too far off.
sorry buds, but those are coyotes. you are right, the two vehicle's are similar in appearance. but if you look closer you can see that the driver hatch is smaller and higher up. also the wheels are wider do to the fact that they are smaller. There might be some lav 3's in the convoy shots but the close up ones, and when its shows the driver inside its a coyote.
@Welshy86 look closer bud! the one showing the interior and the hatchs is a coyote! the drivers hatch on a lav III is square, the one on a coyote is round.. that one is round! when it shows the driver, you see the radio on is left, the drivers radio in a lav III is on is right, the tire size on the vehicles is different, those are small tires like on a coyote. the pivot gun on a lav III is a c9 and on a coyote is a c6, at 0:51 thats a c6 on the pivot and the way the turret is made, well coyote
