but at list violine or piano players have better music that harp, so those people (harpists) are even limited in their classical education! they play only their "harp composers " and have several pieces which were composed by known composers, but non of those works are the best or important in classical music. they love very much Haendel concerto, but it is originaly for organ! and also not so great piece.since harpist put it in their repertoire there are million vertions and all are very....

very incorrect from the point of view of barocco period. but they (harpist ) still fight whose version is better! in some countries is forbidden to perform some versions of poor Haendel"s concerto, if you play a wrong version you never get a job!hahaha. and...returning to violinists and pianist: already to play bad Brahms or Rachmaninov concerto makes those people better musicians than poor harpists! i but harp has no music of such criteria. so agree with chokolada,even she is too hard sometimes

are you an harpist?who told you that harpist loves very much handel concerto?? we don't play only harp composers (and if you really know harp composers you will find that some of them did not stupid music like you think). We have a known composers that wrote for harp. you have to listen to Caplet masque de la morte rouge, the two divertissments, hindemith sonata, britten sonata, ginastera harp concerto, debussy dances, natra sonatina prayer, and this is only to give you an exemple.

Hi!I have heared many times those pieces. i do not say it is stupid!!(Britten suit-not sonata as you have wrote:) just i wanted to tell that debussy sonat for violin is without compiration better then debussy dances for harp or his trio sonata. also there is very nice work of Ravel-Introduction and allegro!but there you almost do not hear harp, the quintet is ofen covering the soft sound of harp. so you hear it only at beginning and  at cadenca. In Ginastera also often harp is covered by orch.

my point is that harpist are"nt as good quality brought up musician as pianists, cellist, violinist, even viola players, bcs they dont have wide repertoir and just cant be on the same level in their musical experiance.also in orchestra,they almost never have melody-always arpegio &glissando.here are nice parts in Wagner but i rarely heared it clearly without mistakes(for examp. Tannhäuser) even in "A"orchestras!Also mozart harp-flute concerto is not as nice as his pianio or violine concertos
