As a former THPS fan, i can say that Skate will never be even close to be like THPS(even though i played it a lot).THPS is an arcade skate game that emphasyses on being unrealistic(grinding phone wires, top of buildings to flat,etc).

What makes Skate so not like THPS is the realism. You really have the feeling of riding a skateboard(im a skater myself) wich you dont in THPS. The way the moves are done is also more realistic. And the replay editor....I could go on and on.
