wow.. you could really hear those intakes... sounds very diff from my stock 350 with one intake..you could hear more air then exhaust... very nice... where di you find those nismo gauges???
LOL looks like you know nothing about the Z heritage.
Spent 10k on a 300ztt with 80k miles on it. Not a waist of money. A waist of money would be importing a R34 into the U.S and making it legal to drive. Im pretty sure im saving alot of money by doing a RB26 swap, so yea i know where the power is at. Wanted to do a 2JZ swap but is alot of fabricating and barely fits.
And stock vs stock, the 300z beats the 350z by 1-2 car lengths.
@Jizbell it was a rhetorical response. the irony in seeing that too much air is not good for the engine. Forced Induction is actually extremely healthy for the car. It's hard however to notice sarcasm in texts.
@Bizantium You are a unintelligent infant. The car adjusts for more air by adding more fuel, this is done by the MAS or the Mass Airflow Sensor. In turn more air plus more fuel gives you more compression and ultimately more power. Do yourself a favor and research before you make a claim.
Actually you are partially correct, More air+More Fuel+More spark=More power. And it doesn't give you more compression fire needs air(oxygen) to combust so therefore it makes it easier for the engine to combust the fuel since it has more air. Not saying your stupid you just missed a couple things. But you got it mostly right.
LOL im a retard... Nah i drive a 300z Twin Turbo. Something that actually has some power to it. I wasn't up to date with the new HR motors with dual intakes. Don't understand why it needs 2 intakes... Its not like it's pushing 500+ HP.
is that why the vq is the most awarded v6 engine in the world? dual intake helps the engine breathe that much better, and theres no such thing as too much unrestricted airflow.
You are a faggot and the 300z don't even compare to the 350z, why you have even started this I will never know I guess your mother didn't love you enough.
The 300z was never anything special and if you worked on the engine then congratz you wasted all that money, should of gone for the R34 like I did and got a car with some real power=)
Also a 350z would smoke your 300z if it had work done under the hood which you claim yours has so yea you are a retard comparing a modded car to a stock one
You are a fucking idiot. It comes like that from factory retard, I bet he is running perfet AFR's. Do you even know how big 740cc injectors are? 670whp car is not goign to need injectors that fucking big. Gtfo
depends on how many injectors a car takes. ON a 4-banger 740cc is about right, maybe even on the smaller side to power a 670whp. On an 8 cylinder car, 8 740cc injectors wont be necessary.
Thats why I said on the smaller side of powering 670whp. Engine would have to run the injectors on max cycle, on a fully built engine, on race gas for it to be even slightly possible of 600+. But I was kinda exaggerating what 740cc can do. I was just responding to ct0386 posts 5 month ago when he was referring to 740cc on how big they fucking where. Really they aint that big.
Dual intake will allow for better throttle response. it will also evenly distribute the combustion mixture and help lower intake turbulance for a better flow (throttle response) as for why cosworth makes a single one that is better. Maybe it's bigger? With a bigger, aftermarket MAF and intake system and the right tune you can subsequently pull in more air, better throttle response, although the evenly despersed combution mixture I don't know how that would work with a single... -shrug-
Ok, so explain to me again how the dual intakes create an even mixture, or whatever you were saying? There is no mixture untill you get right next to the intake ports. And the intake manifold is going to do whatever it will to the air, regardless of what "itnake" it has. You cant sound smart unless you actually know what your trying to say
Having a single intake manifold on a V block ~ weather its a 6 or 8. will help it. Having a single intake port will only suck in air from one point and disperse it between 6. So you have 1 to 6
Having a dual intake will be sit to disperse between the front 3(or 4) and rear 3(or 4)
So you have 1 Throttle Body Per 3 Cylinders.
Sucking more hair in faster is going to give you better throttle response
the only thing a dual intake does is unbalance the cylinder. Read about CFMs. A single 3 inch tube flows more air than 2 2.5 inch tubes. If this was true everyone would use 2 throttle bodies. Or 8. and you still have no idea what throttle response is, same with 90% of the people who use that word
Throttle response or vehicle responsiveness is the responsiveness of the vehicle to throttle (accelerator pedal) modulation. When the accelerator pedal pressed suddenly, how fast power output of engine increases implies the throttle response of that vehicle. Throttle is not used in diesel engine, but the term throttle often refers to accelerator control. Throttle response is often confused with better power, but throttle response is rather related to time taken for change in power level
everyone can use google. Just because you know the definition doesnt mean you used it correctly or even understand what you just said. So now that you know that, how do dual intakes, or whatever your talking about, improve throttle response?
i was hoping for some take offs..... sigh T-T

LOL rev your engine more to 7k while not in gear and see how long it lasts.
Also you dont even need 2 intakes on a stock 350z. Your taking in more air than needed... Your a/f mixture is probably way off.
I run Nismo 740cc injectors in my z32TT that is pushing 671whp. I need dual intake system. Your 280hp z33 doesn't need dual intake.

It is warmed up otherwise the rpm would idle at 2k ish then go down to 750. Hes not messing it up the vq is made for that !

so how come Cosworth make a single intake plenum that flows up to 800 bhp then?
And adds 17 bhp to an otherwise standard VQ! eh? answer me that.

Also for boosted applications such as Twin Turbo's they have dual inlets that join just before the single inlet.
Read any book talking about intake manifolds. end of story.
