  • well that was a complete waste of fucking time. that guy's perfect for the UN.

hey hows that muslim thingy working for you guys in sweden these days? immigration is great isn't it? scandanavia is sinking fast.

  • Han har lite problem med engelskan. Det vore bättre om han gjorde det på svenska i stället och så kunde han texta det på engelska och andra språk om nödvändigt. Kameran är dessutom något för nära.

  • The thought of further constructive debate on Neotoy's idea seemed promising, I hope Mr Bildt returns.

  • Should a free market not imply the only limit of development being imagination and the value of our ideas instead of how much cash we have, the opinion of the banker, or the interests of the established monopoly.

That's why we stagnate, destroy eachother, and allow insecurity to destroy our freedom of conscience.

  • That and allowing secret societies, bankers, militaryindustrial complex, media industry, agricultaural industry to develop exhuberently in a destructive and filthy manner if they are willing to use any means.

  • Neotoy's proposal seems to offer an enormous potential for progress in redefining economic systems to bring about what could well be truly free markets... I didn't believe in them, but if there is a way of achieving the original intent (assuming it was sincere) then by all means it is worth exploring commonly.

  • I as a child never imagined the economy was so corrupting... I actually imagined that, as we had been taught in schools of the west, that the capitalist free market economy was a wonderful self regulating system, encompassing all aspects as far as were measurable, of our common riches.

Could it ever have been further from the truth, it would be nice to save future generations this sort of deception.

  • Thank you for the response. When I first wrote up my presentation my first thought was that the UN was in an ideal position to establish more realistic metrics.

But I also agree with divinacomedias in part. In order for holistic economic metrics to be truly practical, a whole new level of transparency and distributed (democratic) decision making will also be critical to its success!

  • Looking at the "Human Development Index" I feel a bit perplexed, because if I remember correctly there used to be inequality in wealth taken into consideration and seemed more representative of reality on the ground.

Adult literacy rate (% aged 15 and older)

    12 United States .. (2)

note 2- For purposes of calculating the HDI, a value of 99.0% was applied.

    ???

  • I seem to remember illiteracy being higher than 1% in the USA.

  • Supply and Demand,

I think neotoy's proposal of Holistic Economic Metrics is calling for a more accurate evalution system of supply.

Wit Peak Oil for example, it is still very unclear if the decrease in production rates and discovery of new fields are not just a matter of ageing pump systems and an excess of discovered fields over extraction ratio.

  • Also, I understand, incuding measures of hidden costs of implementation upon the wider community, to health service, environmental conservation, upon human resourcing etc.

I don't think this refered so much to GDP indices and the like.

  • Especially when the newly introduced indices are inherently flawed.

  • Maybe common people could share their ideas freely somehow, to tap into all the human resources of conscience, and build the systems of government on our respective local, national, and international levels... to build the respective systems that will ensure the sustainability and wellbeing of our common future.

  • Clearly the backbones of our economic, judicial, and political systems need urgent and comprehensive development.

  • He clearly didn't understand neotoy story's point.

  • My view is that since we (humanity) are responsible for both economics and industry, we have a singular responsibility to measure all aspects and effects. It's not enough to just measure some as in a limited index that favors some groups over others. We need to keep track of them all in their entirety; so that we can better understand ourselves, and create a more balanced and pragmatic system for human progress that is actually sustainable.

  • The UN is not transparent enough, is much too centralized, and corrupted.

Can the UN be redefined to serve the interests of the people rather than a minority?

Of course the UN works quite well in some areas that do not affect the minority interest and promote the image of the UN... but the UN is also used as a wolf by these minorities when opportunate.

  • Minority interest does not even mean of a nation, it simply means the minority corporate and financier interest group that ran Bretton Woods.

A globaly centralised bank, with national subdivisions of "autonomous" (from the democratic, public, or judicial rule) central banks.

From where to create famin and war to control population and ensure their power over all of us.

  • what up carl!

  • Haha Carl Bildt på youtubes framsida!
