  • Love the chiptuned version of Frostman's stage music.

  • The game was great in PSX. Why downgrade it? It makes no sense.

  • @LarsenSan because 8 bit rocks

  • I've already almost beaten the Rockman 8 FC (Got to the first wily stage, and there was no stage. =| ) but I had to stop and listen just cause I love the song. <3

  • Lol @ Sliding backwards under that spot. I have actually slide backwards THROUGH A BOSS DOOR. I did it in Mega Man 10 with Proto Man, It was on Chill Man's Stage, haha.

  • I think the Psx version is awesome. Why not? It have better graphics, better music, and for sure is not more slow than this version. The snowboard part in this version is really retarded slow for what i see

  • @TheKrustaceox

The gameplay is faster than you see in the video. The recording program was slowed down the game.

  • @TheKrustaceox - Bitchfuck.

  • @super58173 Fuckbitch.

  • @TheKrustaceox - Fucking Shake 'N Bake Turkeryleg ballsacks

  • I rather play this 8-bit Megaman than the original Playstation one which is AWFUL.

  • 1:08 BACKWARDS SLIDE HAHAHA

    soz caps lock

  • This version of the music is sweet!

  • Is that the actual song for that stage or did u make cause i wanna kno wat u used to make that

  • @DGizzle4life

    It"s the actual song.

  • Excuse but one of think has a virus on it my Norton problem went on red

  • Where TF are the enemies...?

  • This is cool for nostalgia's sake. But for the jaded MM fans who think that Megaman is only good in 8-bit: Pretty graphics won't hurt you okay? Like I said this is cool, but I still definitely prefer the original, better graphics that has the same gameplay.

  • @ValidusMos

No, better graphics with retardly slow gameplay.

  • @nothingelsetodoZ

Oh, come now. It wasn't that slow in comparison. Sure the extra frames of animation changed it slightly, but the core gameplay is there. And MM7 was just as fast as any older title.

  • @ValidusMos

Yes, MM7 is good like older games, the overzoomed camera is a little strange tough.

But megaman 8 is less frantic, and too much colorful, not a BAD game btw, just a lesser megaman the way it is.

  • Cool

  • Best son ever in a mega man game

  • i like how the next gen megaman games have been modified to its roots... looks good so far...

  • I'm not the main programmer of this game, I just showed the early version.

  • Dont you think that after the people who made this and 8 bit mega man 7 should make a 8 bit mega man x?

  • I noticed there was no annoying "JUMP JUMP JUMP SLIDE SLIDE SLIDE" in this, lol

  • any major difference between these 2 updated versions?

  • which one is the updated version? 166 or 165?

  • All 2 version. I think, 2 or 3 different group work on this game.

  • which one are u using?

  • In this video, no one. These links are new.

  • um.. okay, so i should use the new links then?

  • YES.

  • Miles better than htat whack sony version.

  • Where'd you find this?

  • Sent a PM.

  • Comment removed

  • hey where did you find this

  • Sent a PM.

  • lets turn all the Mega Man games into the style of NES and then port them onto one CD!

  • @mopbrothers

then sell it in stores and make millions of dollars!

  • Where did you find this remake?

  • Sent a PM.

  • hey I saw someone play this DEMO before

  • omg i want to play

  • Great job with the 8-bit music!

  • what no jump jump oh wait is nes lolz

  • coño de k sirve que dispare si no ay mostros

  • JUMP JUMP SLIDE SLIDE!!!

  • This looks far better than the original for PSX.

  • I Agree.

  • lol @ Ryu's Hadou Ken being used for the charge shots

  • The fuck? Great call

  • @WaruiGouki I noticed it, too.

  • Where did you download this??

  • Rockman 8 FC homepage.

  • not a bad start, keep at it and make the full game. I'm certain it would make a good portfolio peice.....if you applied for a job at capcom lol

  • JUMP JUMP SLIDE SLIDE JUMP JUMP SLIDE SLIDE SLIDE SLIDE JUMP JUMP uuh. so annoying

  • Oh come on its not that bad at all it's trying to tell you what you should do while Mega Man is riding the snowboard.

  • i know i was kind of joking

  • What website do you go to download Mega Man 8 in the nes verson

  • is this game almost done yet???

    *sigh*

  • No :(

  • well at least there isnt that freaking warning sign of JUMP JUMP SLIDE SLIDE JUMP JUMP SLIDE SLIDE

  • I hated that, glad it got changed.

I might emulate this when they finish it.

  • i like this version of the jump jump slide slide better than the harsh one on the 32 bit version

  • whats the random numbers in the top left corner for?

  • I guess they're the frames per second.

  • 5 stars!

  • they have ruined the snowboarding sections 4 me. its supposed 2 b autoscrolling. theyve made it 2 ez. o well, at least this isnt a Capcom game.

  • This yet not the definitive version, very much will be perfected yet on this.

  • Where's the "Jump! Jump! Slide! Slide!"?

  • Not needed.

With it being the NES version, the "Jump! Jump! Slide! Slide!" would be nothing but beeps... which would sound twice as annoying....

  • I wish that they would fix the 8-bit version of Mega Man/Rock Man 7. There were some parts that simply were not done right, such as the power up screens, the big rig sub-boss on the Turbo Man level (the cab needed some wheels as well and the truck just simply needed to be longer), and more items that were in the SNES/Super Famicom original need to be programmed into this game. Come on, now, folks, it can be done, so no excuses, okay? Thank you.

  • Um. Half of those things were just useless and time consuming. And it suppose to be like an NES version. If this was really on a NES, things such as bolts wouldn't be needed at all.

  • OBJECTION! ...sorry, I need to stop playing Ace Attorney...

Anyway, Megaman 9 was made like the NES versions and IT had bolts.

  • However. It isn't a NES cart. I'm judging a NES cart. Rockman 9 for PS3/360 it 50 MB+. I hope you see my point.

  • Strangely enough I think this looks cooler than the real megaman 8 with updated graphics.

  • I wonder how JUMP JUMP SLIDE SLIDE will sound, if they put any kind of warning in at all . . .

  • Very good arrangement. Having tried to hack together FrostMan's stage myself, I know how hard it is to compare MM8's distances to NES-level physics! (IE: You need wider pits! These on PSX = 1-2 tiles, not 2-3.)

    Nicely adapted. :)

  • Everyone's favorite!

  • How were you able to play it??

  • I download this version on Rockman 8 FC homepage. (Type google)

  • I did it and got on the site but i can't read japanese. Can u direct me in a more precise way?

  • Na, mivel látom hogy magyar vagy:

A Rockman 8 FC oldalán, jobb oldalt keresel egy ilyet:効果音SE

  • You ever tried sliding off a ledge. It retain a somewhat sliding like feel when you do it. And I do think the Powered Rock Buster looks 2x better then the original one.

  • Awesome. The only thing I'd ask for now are 16-bit versions of Megaman X 4,5,6,7,8.

  • or a 16 bit version of mega man 9

  • I'm with Twistedvivid.

A 32 bit version of MM9 would be awesome.

But still less great than MM8 8-bit :3

  • 32 bit version of MM9 would be piece of shit :(

  • I'm a hardcore retro gamer, but I can't shake the feeling that there should be a version following MM8.

Talk about that, I might never figure out why MM8 has so much hatred or why MM6 is so much ignored.

  • Classic Megaman games in 8 bit the best ones.

MM7 and MM8: the big mistake of Capcom.

I agree in the other thing: MM6 is a great game.

  • I agree with you. I love 8-bit only for Megaman! :)

  • MM8 has incredibly slow pacing compared to the rest of the series, and MM6 is ridiculously generous with 1ups and E-Tanks. (Heck, just *having* the Rush Adapters guarantees you'll have plenty - and they have no energy cost whatsoever.) MM6 had pushover bosses, and few master weapons of actual signifcance, too.

Still, I look very much forward to this. Funny auto-scroll-stopper glitch!

I'm still wondering how the MM7/PC map editor is supposed to work, and how to make "MM7 endless"...

  • MM8 is just as slow as MM7, but differs on screen size, favoring MM8.

IMHO, it was quite a fun game, it made you play around a lot with master weapons, plus the stages and graphics, plus jetboards, minus JUMP JUMP SLIDE SLIDE xD.

And yes, MM6 is easy, but never as easy as the american version of MM2. It doesn't answer why it is ignored... ok, it's very easy and stuff, but still, it's good!!

A game doesn't have to be very hard to be good :/

  • Well, the horizontal movement is slowed down - a 2-block wide pit in MM8 takes as much dexterity as a 3-block one in other titles, and solely for the slower motion. The weapons weren't really weapons, too much; save for maybe Flash Bomb, Flame Sword, and Homing Sniper. They were tools, instead; and there's a good reason you get dedicated Buster-access with them.

I'm not saying MM8 wasn't fun, and in a playful sense, it's probably the most fun one. The Rock Ball made that game rule! But easy.

  • But back to the OG point; people play different Rockman titles for different experiences. And usually, old-school fans favor 2 and 3, for a few main reasons.

They're very demanding, and fast-paced, without relying on a chargable buster. The weapons aren't just useful tools, they're *weapons,* too. See also, to some point: X series. And the bosses, they're very, very different in MM2/3 than they are in later titles. Sure, they have predictable patterns, but in MM2, they have reactions, too.

  • The fact that 3 had... the slide, the broken Rush Jet, replaying "destroyed" levels, and a whopping 16 (!) Robot Masters made it pretty much indispensible to many fans. And the levels MADE you use things like Rush, even the basic ones.

Of course, all of that is also what "broke" it, to people that still love MM2 best, in all of it's sadistically difficult simplicity; continuously spawning baddies, and the nearly-infinitely usable Metal Blade.

  • Very nice... been waiting for this since I played 8 bit 7...

  • i wonder if the game will have the multiple mega buster power-ups like the original did. i wana hear the laser shot in 8-bit :3

  • dowload the ROM????

  • It's not a rom, but a PC game. But this is only a half stage, without enemies.

  • Is this made with game maker?

  • No. It's programming.

  • hmm.. the colors are already in nes-palette aren't they?

  • I don't do the game, but the Japanese guys.

  • 1. change resoulution to 256*224

    2. replace all colors by using NES-palette

    3. you shoud do something about the counter, where's the energybar?

    4. GREAT JOB SO FAR!!

  • music is great, but was the graphics jsut pasted onto here? the whole sled thing looks a bit weird, and generally the stage looks too big compared to megaman

  • May be, that they make changes in this yet.

  • thats the way megaman games should be

  • The music is truly excellent.

  • i wanna see the swim sprite in 8 bit

  • Now we can JUMP JUMP SLIDE SLIDE on the NES! Sweet!

  • AAAA!!

DON'T. EVER. TALK. ABOUT. JUMP JUMP SLIDE SLIDE. whenever I feel angry, I play the .wav I have and say "At leas I'm not trying control the jet sled."

By the way, did you know that there is an unused SHOOT sign in the games data?

  • JUMP SHOOT SLIDE SHOOT JUMP JUMP SHOOT SLIDE SLIDE SHOOT, whoa that sounds complex.

  • Wow!

  • Loving the music already.

  • nice =D

now, all classic megaman serie are in 8-bit.
