  • The guy that walked out at 1.08 went off to go and do some bicep curls.

  • this guy is a great coach. i love how he points out the different reference points for people with different bodies. most of the wannabe professional coaches on youtube make it sound like there is only 1 proper position for a deadlift.

  • the guy who coughs at :29 sounds like he's saying "free willy"

  • i'm long in the legs and shorter in the torso. i just put the bar on top of a few 45 plates to bring it up a bit.

  • i have a lot of respect for this guy, really knows what he's talking about and helps sort out simple and majorly effective routines for people with real lives, not the usual bodybuilding crap

  • @GODLIKE20000 thats because he was a competitive powerlifter for 10 years, if you don't do it properly at those weight you damage yourself :)

  • rippetoe is the man

  • I really need to get this guys book my deadlift has gone to shit in the last year ;-(

I done 500 now im struggling to get over 400 and keep gettin injured.

  • the deadlift is pretty taxing exercise. Don't do it too often too heavy. I did 550 one day and 5 days later i could not even pull 500. You need to cycle man.

  • aye, once a week's all rli

  • 4x5 ramping once per week dude.

  • @tselegala obviously you shouldnt be trying to do your 1rm everytime you workout, but if you can rep 300 , you better rep 300

  • "Not strong" people attend these seminars to learn how to do the lift safely and effectively. When people with little to no experience in the gym try to "figure shit out" on their own and end up hurt, they never do the lift again.

  • Long legs and a short torso isn't an excuse, it just changes the starting position on the deadlift. Once that person knows how he/she needs to be set-up to perform the deadlift, they have the confidence to do it, and it will make them a "strong motherfucker" in the years to come.

  • These people are all learning from Mark Rippetoe, who "is, or at least was, strong." He also wrote Starting Strength, which is like a bible to some people.

  • "The really strong guys figure it out or learn from someone who is, or at least was, strong. "

what do you think they're doing?

  • could you resume the most important points (I am not american and I don't understand)? Thanks a lot!

  • I can't wait start the 5x5..

Tim, thanks for the videos.. I was going to collect and compile all of Ripp's videos, but you did it for me..

    Much appriciated bro..

  • Awesome
