@YSofficial They use Logic pro, but cubase (from what it appears on the video) for mixing. They made there uncle b album on logic 7 which didnt have an impressive array of sounds so rely mainly on plug ins. Notice how they still use the Logic orchestral kit for cymbal hits. (e.g. in the transition from the intro of uncle b to wouldnt you)

so all the sounds where from inside logic, even the strings? coz i tried layering some of the drums in logic (+eq, reverb etc) and messings around with the strings, but i just couldnt get that realistic sound like n dubz get, whats the secret lol? maybe plug-ins? but yea ask next time your with them manz, im really interested tbh.

@DjCovenant baisicly n-dubs producer will get all of the top of the range equipment that he needs in the studio paid for by the record company, the sound that you are trying to create isnt really possible with the defult logic sounds (although this is only a guess as i am more of a cubase guy myself) but the guy who created this is probs gonna be using top of the range really expensive vst packs, unless they are just using a sample from a live orchestra,

@jimbosheep101 yeah i get you, but dont forget uncle b was made from that studio (older equipment of course) and they still had those authentic orchestral sound in 'ouch' and 'papa' (with the 'wailing' violins throughout the chorus) now im guessing Byron introduced Dino and Richard to some high spec recording techniques he learnt from his Mungo Jerry years (you gotta love there 'in the summer time' song) but yeah back to my point...that still doesnt explain there cool sound......................

.........but iv been doing abit of research & they used reFX's 'Nexus' synths....you will notice most of the sounds of that VST will be in there new single with Mr Hudson thats coming out in August, but like i said it would be great to find out what plug ins they use dont you think, native instruments 'studio session strings' is the only vst that comes close to replicating the flagship n dubz slides, East West Quantum leap is also good but not many ornaments such as the glissandos & portamentos.
