Hey I know I'm late getting this, but I purchased this set from my CCO today and when I cleaned the 187 it had purple or black stuff to come it. I noticed when I got it, the hairs on the 187 looked purple. I wanna know did ur 187 do this when you washed it for the first time????
Great brush set. As for the words fading, give them one or two coats on top of the word with clear nail polish. You'll have to re-apply it every so often, just in case it chips and what not. Works like a charm! :O)~
i just bought this brush set today at the cco, i washed the 187 and i saw fading, hopefuly it wont do that again.

yeah. when i first washed it black die came out. don't worry it only happens on the first wash.
