The problem in the Vietnam conflict, is the politicals and corruption. The US military fought to help the south vietnamise corruption goverment. Tis is a brutal and long war for mony and tecnical lessons for the new weapon sistems. unfortunatly. 58000 US soldier dies for the corruption. In particular, one cannot simply attribute US failure to a single (and in this case dubious) factor. Vietnamese tenacity, adverse media coverage, erosion of US political will and spiralling cost (monetary and humanitarian) all played a part. Incidentally it was the left that took the US into Vietnam and the right that took it out, yet that in itself is an over simplification.
