I love Dave Grohl as a drummer, but Joey does a damned good job of filling in his shoes. In contrast, I think that not having Nick Oliveri on bass anymore is a bit of a loss for them, even if the guy ended up being an animal. Josh is still the brains of the operation, and he did end up working with a legendary bassist, just not in QotSA...

joeys playing the exact same shit as grohl did on the album. the drums were just eq'ed really well on the album so the snare sounds amazing on it, plus there were about a million and one overdubs to make it really full. live they obviously cant do that.

Well Grohl skips every 4th beat on the hi-hat, that's certainly not edited but he's a serious prodigy on the drums. Joey's by no means bad, but Grohl is better IMO and Joey can't play everything he can.
